@k900:0upti.meK900(and that's all I know)07:59:28
@grimmauld:grapevine.grimmauld.deGrimmauld (any/all)i am not really asking for replacements, i am mostly wondering whether we should drop the thing with dead source, or replace the source if it can be found elsewhere. And figured i'd just ask one of the original developers.08:00:11
@k900:0upti.meK900Oh then I assume we can drop it since you can just use the webusb thing08:02:29

Hey Qyriad i just came accross this issue about fusee-launcher: https://github.com/NixOS/nixpkgs/issues/370875
The lingering forks credit you, among others, and i knew you are here. Does the fusee-launcher still exist, or is it dead? Figured you might know.
* I removed the repository when Nintendo did some of their latest rounds of threatening people :(
09:18:53
@grimmauld:grapevine.grimmauld.deGrimmauld (any/all)Ah, so it is dead because legal? Got it, will drop from nixpkgs then09:18:57
@grimmauld:grapevine.grimmauld.deGrimmauld (any/all)nintendo truly is the most hostile gaming company out there... They might even beat EA!09:19:49
@qyriad:katesiria.orgQyriad theoretically there shouldn't be legal problems with fusee-launcher but "theoretically" does not seem to stop Nintendo 09:20:33
@qyriad:katesiria.orgQyriad you can technically still see the repo on web.archive.org lmao 09:20:54
@grimmauld:grapevine.grimmauld.deGrimmauld (any/all)well yes, guess how i know to ask you09:21:11

@janw4ld:matrix.orgورد are there plans to port this to lix? it's unjanking git submodules support a little 09:42:07
@k900:0upti.meK900Speaking of nintendo, I wonder how many Switch emulators we're at in nixpkgs now...09:48:57
@aidalgol:matrix.orgaidalgolJust two.11:17:00

I'd be happy enough to send you a copy if you want to slap it e.g. on codeberg as a mirror
12:55:32
@ktemkin:katesiria.org[K]ate Temkinbut honestly it was the reference implementation and people did a bunch better with other/fancier ones, so I'm not sure it serves users in nixpkgs12:56:00
@ktemkin:katesiria.org[K]ate Temkin (some more context I can say since I'm not in US jurisdiction anymore: the letter of the court order did say it had to be taken down, since it broadly said anything used by the relevant folks in circumvention of the switch's copy protection was covered; but I worked a bit with Nintendo to defuse things originally, and I think they're specifically not targeting that repo, so it's theoretically safe enough for anyone to splat online) 12:59:26

@molly:161.rocksMolly does the lix fork of flake-compat support overriding flake inputs (i.e. setting inputs.foobar.follows)? 16:38:02
@molly:161.rocksMollythere's a PR on one of the various flake-compat repos somewhere on github which implements input overriding, which is occasionally handy when importing flakes which have their own nixpkgs pin, to avoid having to evaluate multiple different copies of nixpkgs16:39:20
@ersei:ersei.netersei is anyone aware of an issue error: attribute 'dirtyShortRev' missing? 17:11:06
@ersei:ersei.neterseiDownload trace.txt17:13:18
@ersei:ersei.netersei run nix build git+https://git.ersei.net/nix-configs.git?ref=trunk&rev=24517cf873179028ec595afbb79ea76fea7fecea#hydraJobs.hosts.possibly-evil 17:19:37
@ersei:ersei.neterseiseems like another nix flake update seems to fix it, which is weird since I just ran one17:40:35
@raitobezarius:matrix.orgraitobezariusSounds like a flake.lock freshness issue?17:52:13
