I experienced two issues while installing nixos.
- The plasma installer that did not worked for my amd ryzen (all the post that I saw only mentionned solution for nvidia)
- I selected the language of the installer to french with french-canadian keyboard, I also encrypted the disk partition and was not able to decrypt the disk, the password did not match ( and I had typed in the password thrice to be sure it was correct) I believe that one of the faulty character to be @ that is different from us keymap
Not sure where to report it

 Gerd Flaig | Searching for "NixOS report bug" will lead you to nixpgs issues on GitHub. https://github.com/NixOS/nixpkgs/issues/363797 looks relevant.
One thing you may try is to install either Gnome or just console at first and then later switch to Plasma.

my post doesn't tackle Rust, but afaik the Rust compiler is LLVM-based and should effortlessly be able to cross-compile, so you could re-use the techniques I use for fetching foreign dependencies from Debian/MSYS2 repositories Nice. Actually in my project it’s quite easy to build a windows binary just by using the built in nix cross system feature. The trouble is linking correctly to Debian dependencies but it looks like your method might solve that. I’m not sure when I’d get the time to try it but I’ll keep it in mind | 10:50:36 |
