@arianvp:matrix.orgArianSorry this is completely insufficient amount of information to give any kind of help lol08:55:19
@srestegosaurio:tchncs.de@srestegosaurio:tchncs.de

Mb, I was sleepy. What information would be helpful to debug this?

@srestegosaurio:tchncs.de@srestegosaurio:tchncs.de

The rule in question is the following: "e /home/srestegosaurio/net-files 700 srestegosaurio users 7d -".

@srestegosaurio:tchncs.de@srestegosaurio:tchncs.de

It does work for files.

@elvishjerricco:matrix.org@elvishjerricco:matrix.orgLooks like we have a possibly serious systemd-boot bug: https://discourse.nixos.org/t/systemd-boot-failing-to-boot-a-nixos-warbler-system-due-to-an-efi-assertion-failure/6145017:29:53
@elvishjerricco:matrix.org@elvishjerricco:matrix.org It's probably upstream 17:30:05
@elvishjerricco:matrix.org@elvishjerricco:matrix.org * It's probably an upstream issue 17:30:10
@elvishjerricco:matrix.org@elvishjerricco:matrix.organyone seen this before?17:30:14
@elvishjerricco:matrix.org@elvishjerricco:matrix.orgSeems similar to this: https://github.com/systemd/systemd/issues/3502617:42:44
@raitobezarius:matrix.orgraitobezariusthey're still allocating below 4G boundary for x86_6417:48:26
@raitobezarius:matrix.orgraitobezariusinstead of doing it only for i38617:48:29
@elvishjerricco:matrix.org@elvishjerricco:matrix.org raitobezarius: So is the implication that this user has x86_64 hardware with no physical memory below 4G? 17:50:44
@elvishjerricco:matrix.org@elvishjerricco:matrix.orgis that a thing?17:50:50

How the heck does "no physical memory below 4GiB" even work? IIRC UEFI does identity mapping and the PE file format has 32-bit addresses.

is that a thing?
yes, AMD Opteron A1100

@raitobezarius:matrix.orgraitobezariusI am tired17:56:48
@raitobezarius:matrix.orgraitobezariusOpteraon A1100 is ARM6417:56:53
@aloisw:julia0815.dealoisw(also I think SMM memory has to be below 4G too)17:56:53
@raitobezarius:matrix.orgraitobezariusI cannot find hardware doing that OTOH right now17:57:14

on x86_64
17:57:36
@raitobezarius:matrix.orgraitobezarius is it true on x86_64s ? 17:57:46
@raitobezarius:matrix.orgraitobezarius(or x86s whatever people calls it)17:57:54
@elvishjerricco:matrix.org@elvishjerricco:matrix.orgwhat is that?17:58:11
@raitobezarius:matrix.orgraitobezariusoh lol x86s was abandoned17:58:12
@raitobezarius:matrix.orgraitobezariusx86s is the simplified architecture for x86_6417:58:20
@raitobezarius:matrix.orgraitobezariusinitializing immediately in tie rhgt mode, etc.17:58:27
@raitobezarius:matrix.orgraitobezariusUEFI only17:58:29

You have to ask Microsoft I guess.
