Okay, gotcha. Just to confirm my understanding, you mean by this then that the alluded to need of 24/7 moderation is something that there can be leniency with for smaller/language specific channels? =)
That bit was not clear to me, you see 😅
*is a policy that there can be leniency with | 07:38:46 |
uep | "alluded to" is the issue | 07:41:41 |
uep | The only 24/7 coverage is for the bot. We human members of the mod team try to do our best, but there's no on-call roster and shifts or anything like what was alluded to. | 07:45:53 |
uep | there are somewhat over 180 channels monitored by the bot | 07:46:52 |
uep | Nobody's reading all of that, no matter what language it's in. If there are issues, you'll need to bring it to our attention if they can't be resolved internally | 07:47:52 |
@x10an14:matrix.org | All right! I understand your answer then to say that "best effort from human moderators as soon as they're aware to ie. remove CSAM" is consdered "good enough" for now, when it comes to applications of adding new channels to the nixos.org namespace =)
Please correct me if I'm wrong =D | 07:48:04 |
uep | the bot is currently set to remove all images posted, because of that. it's terribly inconvenient, but unfortunately necessary for now | 07:48:52 |
uep | if it misses something, let us know asap.. but for the most part the spammers only target the largest rooms with thousands of users | 07:49:35 |
uep | the spammers usually get added to one of the shared banlists quickly, sometimes by us if we get hit first | 07:50:25 |
