@elvishjerricco:matrix.org@elvishjerricco:matrix.orgYea, no hdmi 2.1 on linux right now unless you use a DP -> hdmi adapter like the one baked into intel graphics: https://gitlab.freedesktop.org/drm/amd/-/issues/1417#note_179598005:08:53

@elvishjerricco:matrix.org@elvishjerricco:matrix.orgI've ordered a DP 1.4 -> HDMI 2.1 adapter, if only to see if it combines the best of the two or the worst of the two :P05:14:32

Chroma subsampling perhaps?
06:32:42
@atemu12:matrix.org@atemu12:matrix.orgIf you can to 1px greyscale lines but not coloured ones, that'd be a sign for that06:33:26
@elvishjerricco:matrix.org@elvishjerricco:matrix.orgohh that would make sense06:33:26
@elvishjerricco:matrix.org@elvishjerricco:matrix.orgis there a way to check for that in linux?06:33:49

@elvishjerricco:matrix.org@elvishjerricco:matrix.org so something in linux is making the decision to do that, right? 06:34:12
