ash (it/its) 🏳️⚧️ | i haven't played in a couple months though, so ymmv | 04:00:33 |
ash (it/its) 🏳️⚧️ | i know it works well with proton experimental? | 04:00:41 |
Andrés Rodríguez | "Code i2501, you cannot use this function." while trying to register. Welp! At least the old launcher works. Guess I gotta wait a day and see if their system unscrews itself on its own. | 04:12:50 |
ash (it/its) 🏳️⚧️ | oh, weird | 04:17:29 |
ash (it/its) 🏳️⚧️ | it doesn't like vpns i think, fyi | 04:17:37 |
Andrés Rodríguez | Not on a VPN. 5 bucks say they don't like third world countries. Had the same issue when I created the account back when I wanted to try the trial. Resolved after 24 hours. Apparently the whole account system is very shoddily implemented and the antifraud is no exception. | 04:24:48 |
ash (it/its) 🏳️⚧️ | yeah, sounds about right | 04:25:03 |
ash (it/its) 🏳️⚧️ | good luck! | 04:25:18 |
Andrés Rodríguez | thank you! and ty for the help | 04:25:29 |
ash (it/its) 🏳️⚧️ | if you have any other issues with ffxiv feel free to ping me | 04:26:15 |
ash (it/its) 🏳️⚧️ | i know stuff about running that game | 04:26:39 |

papojari | When I play a game via Proton sometimes my computer crashes. The last about 1 second of audio repeats 3 times and then it reboots.
I don't think this is a thermal issue since my temps are never reaching more than about 75 °C in Blender. | 12:50:03 |
ash (it/its) 🏳️⚧️ | sounds like a graphics driver crash to me | 14:37:39 |
| aszlig joined the room. | 15:43:09 |
ar|m | not really, if it was a graphics driver crash, i wouldn't expect a reboot | 18:08:49 |
ar|m | papojari: do you have another device from which you can ssh in to the computer? | 18:09:21 |
ar|m | papojari: what i'd try to do, is to have "dmesg -T -w" running in ssh, while trying to reproduce the crash | 18:09:53 |
papojari | In reply to @ar:hackerspace.pl papojari: do you have another device from which you can ssh in to the computer? yes | 18:16:05 |
papojari | I'm getting my raspberry back on track | 18:16:32 |
papojari | somehow it gets stuck at building fonts | 18:16:58 |
ar|m | papojari: you could also use your phone for that :) | 18:19:21 |
papojari | In reply to @ar:hackerspace.pl papojari: you could also use your phone for that :) well, termux is really inconvenient | 18:20:09 |
Elmo | In reply to @papojari:artemislena.eu well, termux is really inconvenient I'm using JuiceSSH. | 19:01:12 |
ar|m | I've used both, and for a long time with juicessh i had terminal corruption issues and lack of ed25519 support was mildly annoying, while on termux the fact that mosh in a backgrounded termux window wasn't put to sleep meant that it drained battery faster than i'd like | 19:04:36 |
ar|m | so, in the end, i now use neither, and replaced my main usecase for both with weechat-android | 19:05:11 |
papojari | In reply to @ar:hackerspace.pl papojari: what i'd try to do, is to have "dmesg -T -w" running in ssh, while trying to reproduce the crash I tried to reproduce the crash but it didn't happen in the last 10 mins like it usually did. | 19:10:38 |
papojari | I fired up the game | 19:10:44 |
papojari | tried to join | 19:10:46 |
