@jcmdln:matrix.org@jcmdln:matrix.orgAre there automated tests for reproducing all Nix packages, or would I be correct in assuming that the focus is specifically for the packages included in the minimal iso? Out of curiosity I tried reproducing a few packages like postfix which is non-deterministic but I'm not sure if it should be reported.16:28:19
@trofi:matrix.org@trofi:matrix.orgI'd say all the packages should be reproducible and it's worth reporting any non-determinism.16:30:11
@rick:matrix.ciphernetics.nlRick (Mindavi)Yes16:36:48
@rick:matrix.ciphernetics.nlRick (Mindavi)Ideally with a report of diffoscope attached and the tag reproducible builds16:37:10
@raboof:matrix.orgraboofbasically everything you might want to fetch from a binary cache is worth having reproducible - so indeed that's pretty much all packages. The build closure of the minimal iso is a bit of an arbitrary milestone, it'd be nice if we could make some more reports :)16:48:02
@rick:matrix.ciphernetics.nlRick (Mindavi)Gnome iso is also useful, I guess17:00:51
@rick:matrix.ciphernetics.nlRick (Mindavi)But yeah, would be nice indeed17:00:58

@winterqt:nixos.devWinter (she/her) I know r13y is out of date, but does anyone know what was causing the two issues there (cpython and cbindgen), assuming they're fixed that is? The Python one just looks like it's swapping some ds for fs in the hexdump in the resulting pycs somehow (even though the ASCII characters, when applicable, stayed the same...?) while the cbindgen one looks a bit more complex (reordering of .text)? 05:01:04
