I hope you’re doing well. The Outreachy results have been published, and I saw that while the NGI NixOS project had one intern selected, the Reproducible Builds project did not have any selections.
I participated actively in the contribution period for the Reproducible Builds project, and I was hoping to understand whether there was a particular reason no intern was selected. Yes, to clarify how it works: Outreachy helps matching interns with organizations. They have some funding, but orgs are expected to bring their own. We had funding via NGI and that is earmarked to work on our contractual obligations. So other projects need to rely on external funding, as detailed in our original announcement:
