@hexa:lossy.networkhexano, plain nix-build01:14:53
@hexa:lossy.networkhexahttps://github.com/NixOS/nixpkgs/pull/37390301:16:34
@emilazy:matrix.orgemily ++ lib.optionals stdenv.hostPlatform.isDarwin [ darwin.apple_sdk.frameworks.AppKit ]; can be dropped entirely fwiw (it has no effect on the build) 01:17:36
@emilazy:matrix.orgemilynot sure why you'd get sandbox size issues even with the sandbox off though01:17:43
@hexa:lossy.networkhexaare you getting it as well? šŸ˜„ 01:20:37
@hexa:lossy.networkhexa ok, so --option sandbox does not seem to propagate to the remote builder 01:24:59
@hexa:lossy.networkhexait works when passing it on the remote builder itself01:25:12
@emilazy:matrix.orgemilyah, I was busy downloading a bunch of crates to test :)01:30:16
@emilazy:matrix.orgemily it might be a ? option you can use on the remote builder URL 01:30:23
@emilazy:matrix.orgemilydunno, I don't have the builders set as remote builders since I don't trust them01:30:34
@hexa:lossy.networkhexaI use the comunity builders through shell aliases šŸ™‚ 01:53:33
@perchun:matrix.orgPerchun Pak [don't ping; dm instead] if I recognize this issue correctly, it happens to be on huge symlinkJoins in nixpkgs-review, and they work around it by using pkgs.buildEnv

@glepage:matrix.orgGaƩtan Lepage It was a system provided by Equinix systems. They ended the sponsorship at the end of 2024.
Since then, nix-community has started to rent a new ARM builder.

@matthewcroughan:defenestrate.itmatthewcroughan @ 39c3 (DECT 94667 or 97340 or 67192) FWIW if you guys buy or subsidize the cost of an ampere machine we can host it in our new hackspace Birkenhack near to Liverpool on a gigabit connection 13:40:28
@glepage:matrix.orgGaĆ©tan Lepage The current box is 169€/month. It means that over two year we would have paid for a ~4k€ system.
Might be worth to consider buying idk... Of course the reliability/trust aspect has to be considered.

@matthewcroughan:defenestrate.itmatthewcroughan @ 39c3 (DECT 94667 or 97340 or 67192) I expect it to be very reliable, and you can trust me :) 14:23:12

@matthewcroughan:defenestrate.itmatthewcroughan @ 39c3 (DECT 94667 or 97340 or 67192)I think the rent is pretty good though if the machine is used a lot14:25:21
@matthewcroughan:defenestrate.itmatthewcroughan @ 39c3 (DECT 94667 or 97340 or 67192) GaƩtan Lepage: did you guys get rid of the impermanence setup? 16:32:06
