raf | Sorry, that was not my intention. I was not suggesting that you were removed; only if the nix-community deems it appropriate. You know that I appreciate your work on nh, and I have no intention to claim the project for myself.
I did not DM you regarding this because gaetan already informed me that you do not agree with it. If you choose to take it as malicious there is nothing I can do, but I assure you that it was not my intention to try and push you away. | 09:39:22 |
raf | * Sorry, it was not my intention to try and sideline you. I was also not suggesting that you should be removed, hence I used the word perhaps to delegate the responsibility of the decision. Gaetan chose to contact you, which is a good thing but I was trying to imply it should be done if nix-community admins deem it appropriate. You know that I appreciate your work on nh, and I have no intention to claim it for myself so to speak.
You are both right, I should have contacted you directly but since I have asked you prior and you stated you were not interested in maintaining nh anymore (besides small PRs) I assumed you were done with the project itself. I'm sorry that it appears this way. If you choose to take it as a malicious action there is nothing I can do, but I want to try and assure you that it was not my intention to push you away. I did not realize how it would appear to you.

Yorusaka Miyabi | It just occurred to me that Garnix thinks Nix Community cache is untrusted | 23:25:00 |

Yorusaka Miyabi | Yes, the latest response from Garnix side is this: https://matrix.to/#/!hQKBiJjjGQdiJBvMgK:matrix.org/$sVg4l7GJOvJCOVwUIBjaOr0RxLT-AU3iUjx-Ml93W54?via=matrix.org&via=t2bot.io&via=c-base.org
How do you mean? It’s just more people and systems that might be compromised and need to be trusted
| 07:20:02 |
Yorusaka Miyabi | Earlier before whey they were asked to add Nix Community Cachix, they responded with: “it's a security issue, since then anyone with push access to that cache can push malicious artifacts for any store path” | 07:21:18 |
Yorusaka Miyabi | Maybe you can talk about how Nix Community Cachix can be trusted for Garnix | 14:53:07 |

@x12:matrix.org | Hi,
I’ve created a small application using AI that can help new NixOS users generate configuration files.
Let me know if you think this could be a useful tool, or if it’s more form than substance:

Winter | i do not trust any LLM to do an effective job with anything Nix related, unfortunately(?) any examples i've seen just show that they have no idea in the world about what they're doing, and just make things worsed | 13:27:49 |
