@hexa:lossy.network | ok, I see the issue | 18:18:42 |
@hexa:lossy.network | also note that we are lacking dependencies for some of these providers | 18:20:18 |

Mackeveli | Gotcha. I'll stick to the music-assistant container and use only HTTP while this is sorted out. I appreciate the help! | 18:34:58 |

Sandro 🐧 | hexa: did you already think or investigate if we can follow ha with replacing pip with uv? https://developers.home-assistant.io/blog/2024/04/03/build-images-with-uv/ | 12:33:30 |
@hexa:lossy.network | we don't use pip? | 12:33:58 |
@hexa:lossy.network | i'm not sure what you're asking for | 12:34:46 |

@hexa:lossy.network | probably what he is talking about | 12:40:36 |
Sandro 🐧 | oh yeah, right 🤦♂️ | 15:09:33 |
Sandro 🐧 | Would it make sense to replace it here https://github.com/NixOS/nixpkgs/blob/master/pkgs/development/interpreters/python/hooks/pip-install-hook.sh#L14 ?
Is that even a part which takes a while to run? | 15:10:54 |
@hexa:lossy.network | that hooks is only used for python2 | 15:16:35 |
@hexa:lossy.network | try again 😛 | 15:16:44 |
@hexa:lossy.network | we use pypaInstallHook (aka python -m installer) for installing | 15:18:04 |
@hexa:lossy.network | and the buildPhase always created a wheel for the installPhase to unpack and installl | 15:18:36 |

@alex:acrawford.com | Does anyone have an example for overriding the version of zwave-js? I tried the following but there’s still a mismatch with the package lock.
package = pkgs.zwave-js-server.overrideAttrs (old: rec {
version = "1.28.0";
src = pkgs.fetchFromGitHub {
owner = "zwave-js";
repo = old.pname;
rev = version;
hash = "sha256-2P3kA7biK9tnebkskQgRK/oakPWsSGEH8zrr5O4x0u0=";
};
npmDepsHash = lib.fakeHash;
});
And here’s the error:
ERROR: npmDepsHash is out of date
The package-lock.json in src is not the same as the in /nix/store/h586wagc3flrpyrsv275w3ngqbdas72v-zwave-js-server-1.35.0-npm-deps.

lilith | Heyo! I've run into an issue and couldn't get it to work for the last couple hours, maybe someone here has an idea where to look?
I'm configuring (declarative NixOS-native, as far as I can) an Anthropic voice assistant, and got it working to the point I can chat with it, but it only has access to the HassTurnOn and HassTurnOff intents, nothing else. All I get when trying to look for the issue is guides how to create custom intents, but all I'm really interested in is other built-ins like HassGetWeather or even just HassGetState, and I'm running out of ideas at this point. Any ideas? Thanks! ^-^ | 20:52:08 |
@hexa:lossy.network | try the ollama integration instead? | 23:48:29 |
lilith | I will eventually, but the server I run home assistant on at the moment isn't powerful enough to run local LLMs, and using another server would require me to configure secure networking first, and I want to take it one step at a time. | 23:57:42 |
lilith | Although I might just do that, at this point it might be easier | 23:58:11 |

@hexa:lossy.network | oh, I forgot that antrophic is a cloud offering | 00:04:10 |
lilith | no problem! do you know if the ollama integration has a way to do token authentication? | 00:05:12 |
