We agreed that a coordinated answer would be better upon frenck's first comments.
Yeah, that basically fell apart when people continued replying anyway
01:01:04
@lukegb:zxcvbnm.ninjalukegb (he/him)and took the discussion to the HA forums, etc.01:01:20

Sadly, and you would hope that lessons were learned.

I'm not saying I find his requests just as deplorable as you, but it just shines a very bad light on us as a project if we don't speak with one voice.

@robert:funklause.dedotlambda* I'm not saying I don't find his requests just as deplorable as you, but it just shines a very bad light on us as a project if we don't speak with one voice.01:02:54
@lukegb:zxcvbnm.ninjalukegb (he/him)I added "[This is all my personal opinion and not the position of "The NixOS Project" or anything like that]", and I'll leave it at that01:06:34
@lukegb:zxcvbnm.ninjalukegb (he/him)Anyway, I don't mean to be grumpy but you could definitely have been less antagonistic when pinging me; it tends to put people on the defensive a bit01:11:53
@lukegb:zxcvbnm.ninjalukegb (he/him)(I appreciate that you were just trying to be helpful though)01:13:53
@hexa:lossy.network@hexa:lossy.networkquestion is, since we kinda agree to disagree at this point, ignore every one of his requests?01:27:41
@hexa:lossy.network@hexa:lossy.networkor reevaluate our position every time he adds one of these01:28:13
@hexa:lossy.network@hexa:lossy.network * or reevaluate our position every time he adds one of these comments01:28:16
@lukegb:zxcvbnm.ninjalukegb (he/him)maybe just say "we get it please stop commenting, we understand your position" but in more polite terms :p01:30:39
@kity:kity.wtfashkitten (it/its) 🏳️‍⚧️this is disappointing, i thought he had come around and was cooperating01:30:46
@hexa:lossy.network@hexa:lossy.networkOr at least relenting01:47:46
@hexa:lossy.network@hexa:lossy.networkI've just browsed archlinuxes packaging of home-assistant02:37:11
@hexa:lossy.network@hexa:lossy.networkwe are doing mighty fine.02:37:18
@joerg:bethselamin.deMic92 (Old) hexa: how about not reviewing this type of prs in nixpkgs itself. 05:10:44
@joerg:bethselamin.deMic92 (Old)It only harms both communities and drain energy having to deal with that.05:11:35
@zhaofeng:zhaofeng.liZhaofeng LiI still don't get why he commented in the first place - Didn't he come around less than a week ago? Or has he forgotten already?05:23:29
@zhaofeng:zhaofeng.liZhaofeng LiI mean, even if he wasn't actually sincere and is still being passive aggressive, he should still have *acknowledged* our previous exchange in some way05:36:57

I doubt it. I would rather want to see the missing part of the logs. Why would you use `joirnalctl -f` for that? 🙈
