@corngood:corngood.comCorngood joined the room.00:24:13
@corngood:corngood.comCorngoodI've got a couple of build failures due to free space that I'd like to restart: https://hydra.nixos.org/build/320776458 https://hydra.nixos.org/build/320776631 Is this the right place to ask about that?00:28:53
@hexa:lossy.networkhexarestarted00:37:11
@corngood:corngood.comCorngoodThanks. Those particular builds are now showing as passed, but if I look at a build like https://hydra.nixos.org/build/320776594, it shows a propagated failure from one of those previously failing builds, and it doesn't look like it's queued. Is there anything I need to do about those, or will they sort themselves out?14:32:54

Unfortunately there are two other options I know about

  • restart each of these manually
  • restart completely all non-succeeding jobs in an eval

@vcunat:matrix.orgVladimír Čunát nixos-unstable-small is blocked. Indexing broke due to some xorg changes, apparently. 07:39:28

@k900:0upti.meK900Oh balls07:52:20
@k900:0upti.meK900It's hardcoded in nix-index too07:53:03
@k900:0upti.meK900Oh wait no it's not07:53:58
@k900:0upti.meK900Oh wait no it is07:54:58
@k900:0upti.meK900Balls07:54:59
@k900:0upti.meK900https://github.com/nix-community/nix-index/blob/master/src/listings.rs#L2607:55:00
@k900:0upti.meK900I am very migraine can someone do the dance07:55:11
@vcunat:matrix.orgVladimír ČunátDeleting that line sounds easy enough.07:57:17
@k900:0upti.meK900Yeah but then you have to override nix-index to remove it locally07:58:15
@k900:0upti.meK900And then release a new nix-index, get it in nixpkgs, update nixpkgs, drop the patch07:58:42
@k900:0upti.meK900Or something like that07:58:45
@vcunat:matrix.orgVladimír Čunát I suppose we don't care that xorg. disappears on 25.11? 07:59:55
@vcunat:matrix.orgVladimír Čunát(when we delete that line)08:00:35
@k900:0upti.meK900It's only for CNF databases08:00:41
@k900:0upti.meK900That are hopefully not used by a lot of people08:00:50
@k900:0upti.meK900Alternatively08:01:23
@k900:0upti.meK900We can add better error handling there08:01:29
@k900:0upti.meK900Like here-ish08:01:57
@k900:0upti.meK900https://github.com/nix-community/nix-index/blob/master/src/listings.rs#L16908:01:57
@k900:0upti.meK900But that needs someone who actually knows Rust to touch it08:02:10
