@joerg:thalheim.ioMic92I could maybe adapt https://www.mediawiki.org/wiki/Manual:Varnish_caching06:42:07
@ners:nixos.devnersHello, as members of the EC, @RossComputerGuy and I would like to request vault access to set up SMTP for the election. Is this the right place to ask?14:07:43
@jfly:matrix.orgJeremy Fleischman (jfly) I don't know if the password is stored in Vaultwarden. IMO, it would be better for it not to be stored there and instead for the EC to generate a new password for each election. There are instructions for that here: https://github.com/NixOS/infra/tree/main/non-critical-infra/modules/mailserver#mailing-lists 14:25:14
@joerg:thalheim.ioMic92Nginx-based fastcgi caching seems to do the trick.17:58:07

@raboof:matrix.orgraboofLikely not something that has a quick fix, but perhaps something to take into account next year: people seem to be running into session expiration issues with the survey: https://snug.moe/notes/acnkov8yosyrs62c11:23:45

@brian:bmcgee.ieBMG 👋 I know Jonas Chevalier has been chatting with you guys about what i've been working on the last few months, but I think it's at a stage where it's worth showing where I've got to, where I'm going and get some input 11:15:57

@vcunat:matrix.orgVladimír Čunát The 240M /boot on the haumea machine is a real pain. 06:41:33
@vcunat:matrix.orgVladimír Čunát Oh, nixos-rebuild copies some stuff in before cleaning up the obsolete files 🤦 06:46:18
@vcunat:matrix.orgVladimír Čunát * Oh, nixos-rebuild copies some stuff in before cleaning up the obsolete files, so it's unable to recover without manual deletions 🤦 06:46:39
@sternenseemann:systemli.orgsterni vcunat: I ran into this as well in the last month and diagnosed it to https://github.com/NixOS/nixpkgs/commit/f2ca99055823b3c2ce762ea2d4a315086a530c3d 11:42:47
@sternenseemann:systemli.orgsternii.e. this used to not be a problem since it would always re write everything11:43:25
@sternenseemann:systemli.orgsterniI am planning to write a patch for the failure mode where it copies a file and runs out of disk space by just deleting the partially copied file; haven’t gotten around to it yet probably will do so on the weekend11:44:27
@sternenseemann:systemli.orgsternibut I’m not sure this would fix all possible ways in which this can break11:44:42
@vcunat:matrix.orgVladimír Čunát🤔 I thought these were 25.05 systems, though, i.e. before that commit.11:44:45
@sternenseemann:systemli.orgsterniah you may be right11:45:26
@sternenseemann:systemli.orgsterniwell then at least you don’t have the issue that a partially copied initrd is never re-written and the machine kernel panics on boot :p11:46:00
@vcunat:matrix.orgVladimír Čunát But now on another 25.05 system it did recover from df of zero. 11:46:03
@vcunat:matrix.orgVladimír Čunát * But now on another 25.05 system it did recover from df /boot of zero. 11:46:10
