@tom:dragar.deTombut yeah, no kvm console ordering or contatct to support00:51:56
@hexa:lossy.networkhexayeah, fairly pointless00:52:34
@hexa:lossy.networkhexanot worth the hassle to setup more credentials00:53:12
@tom:dragar.deTomreset and rescue can be helpful. You can reset a machine and then take a look via rescue, but yeah, it's not much00:54:33
@tom:dragar.deTomvia rescue mode and then kexec you can even get a nixos running :D00:59:46
@lennart:0520.chlennartyou may add additional mail addresses to send the KVM login details to, when opening the ticket. at work we get all KVM mails (even without additional notes in the ticket) to multiple addresses, would have to take a look where that setting was. but yea not a perfect solution … 06:06:53

@tom:dragar.deTomYou can AFAIK add multiple Main adress (EN) / Kontakt-E-Mail (DE) to the account. That hoewer means ALL E-Mails (exept for Invoices, that's a seperat setting) are sent to those adresses. Not something which would be helpful or desired here IMHO.08:22:52
@yorik.sar:matrix.orgyorik.sarWith NixOS you can easily boot into older generation via rescue or even rebuild the whole system from scratch. I wouldn’t say that’s not much. I found this more than enough for managing internal shared machines.09:34:03
@hexa:lossy.networkhexayes, but you'd need a remote kvm to control the bootloader09:34:44
@hexa:lossy.networkhexawhich you can't order with a limited account09:35:17

@ners:nixos.devnersHey all. I'd like to create some events for NixCon planning on the community calendar. Do I need some special permissions for that? Is there a frontend I can use?13:39:51
@ners:nixos.devners* Hey all. I'd like to create some events for NixCon planning on the community calendar and invite the other organisers. Do I need some special permissions for that? Is there a frontend I can use?13:40:01

@picnoir:alternativebit.frPicnoirHey. Substitution of big files is pretty slow today. The connection starts full speed but gets throttled to ~200kbps. Is it a transit doing unhinged QoS between me and fastly (zayo -> LONAP IX) or did we change something in the fastly config?17:42:45

Hey.

Substitution of big files is pretty slow today. The connection starts full speed but gets throttled to ~200kbps. It's not noticible on small files but very noticeable on big ones.

Is it a transit doing unhinged QoS between me and fastly (zayo -> LONAP IX) or did we change something in the fastly config?

17:43:04
@hexa:lossy.networkhexanothing in the fastly config on our end changes for a long while17:44:07
