@7c6f434c:nitro.chat7c6f434cNot urgent, but would like to understand eventually. OpaVote says elections@nixos.org is bouncing. Last time I expected to receive something specific from them to that address, it got delivered. When someone has time, could it be checked if there was any bounce logged for an email from opavote.com domain recently (in the last 10 days I guess)? Thanks!19:56:55
@hexa:lossy.networkhexano mention of "opavote" (case insensitive) in the postfix log of the last 14 days21:46:17
@hexa:lossy.networkhexathat would be from oct 7th 21:46:31
@7c6f434c:nitro.chat7c6f434cThanks! No clue what bounce they are complaining about then, but oh well.21:47:00

@lt1379:matrix.orgLun* Could it be related to https://github.com/NixOS/infra/issues/873 if that's impacting MX lookups?21:54:16
@hexa:lossy.networkhexano, that issue was only affecting ALIAS records for resolvers that were directed to the milano pop of Gandi23:02:38
@hexa:lossy.networkhexaand we only had alias records on the apex, since we can't have CNAMEs there23:02:59

@vcunat:matrix.orgVladimír ČunátMX is on the apex, but ALIAS is only about address records, so I don't think MX queries were affected.05:19:50
@vcunat:matrix.orgVladimír ČunátMan, Gandi support is being really unhelpful about the ALIAS issue.05:29:29
@emilazy:matrix.orgemilyI heard Gandi has gone downhill the past years...14:21:07

@hexa:lossy.networkhexabut right now they're investigating alternatives to netlify where we can just point to ip addresses17:18:15
@vcunat:matrix.orgVladimír ČunátIt does? I'd assume that you still keep the non-www variant as a slow-ish http redirect.17:19:15
@hexa:lossy.networkhexayeah, but the url changes, you get duplicated content in the cache17:19:39
@hexa:lossy.networkhexavague memories here17:19:42
@vcunat:matrix.orgVladimír ČunátYes, you want the URL to change.17:19:56
@vcunat:matrix.orgVladimír Čunát(and avoid using the non-www variant)17:20:10
@hexa:lossy.networkhexayes, but with the understanding what that means for our web presence17:20:18
@vcunat:matrix.orgVladimír Čunát* (and avoid using the non-www variant in links, etc.)17:20:21
@hexa:lossy.networkhexawhich is not infra's job17:20:22
@hexa:lossy.networkhexafeel free to suggest that to marketing though17:20:55
