@joerg:thalheim.ioMic92seems like the pattern disappeared again05:35:32
@joerg:thalheim.ioMic92So can't debug much05:35:36
@joerg:thalheim.ioMic92Total running jobs seems okay again05:35:51
@joerg:thalheim.ioMic92I could check the logs again if those insert conflicts disappeared again?05:36:18
@joerg:thalheim.ioMic92* I could check the logs again if those insert conflicts disappeared?05:36:22
@vcunat:matrix.orgvcunatIf you don't have anything important, could you have a quick look at the silent-timeouts?05:36:31
@vcunat:matrix.orgvcunatThey don't seem honored at all.05:36:44
@vcunat:matrix.orgvcunatEven when I set it to 4h, thunderbird build got timeouted in less than 3h total runtime.05:37:09
@joerg:thalheim.ioMic92so derivation level overrides don't work?05:37:19
@vcunat:matrix.orgvcunat * Even when I set it to 4h, thunderbird build got timeouted after less than 3h total runtime. 05:37:19
@vcunat:matrix.orgvcunatI was doing the global setting.05:37:45
@joerg:thalheim.ioMic92do we want this to be per derivation by the way?05:38:22
@vcunat:matrix.orgvcunatI suppose it would be nice to have lower defaults and only increase limits for some known cases.05:39:56
@joerg:thalheim.ioMic92It looks like in principle it should be passed down to the nix-daemon05:40:24
@joerg:thalheim.ioMic92but I don't think there is any regression test to proof that.05:40:36
@vcunat:matrix.orgvcunat My understanding is that only the nix's timeout is overridable, not nix's max-silent-time:
https://nixos.org/manual/nixpkgs/unstable/#var-meta-timeout
05:50:01
@vcunat:matrix.orgvcunat BTW, when I run nix build /the/same.drv on that machine, the timeout doesn't seem to happen. I was able to fix one build that way, pre-caching it on the builder and then it succeeds immediately when scheduled. 05:52:57
@joerg:thalheim.ioMic92
        , maxsilent => getMeta($buildInfo->{meta}->{maxSilent}, 7200)
06:51:47
@joerg:thalheim.ioMic92subprojects/hydra/script/hydra-eval-jobset sets this06:51:56
@joerg:thalheim.ioMic92I tested and otherwise queue builder seems to enforce the max-silent time set in its configuration correctly06:52:51
@joerg:thalheim.ioMic92https://github.com/NixOS/hydra/commit/afed5aa577b3842b157cb72d583946843770f72e06:52:57
@joerg:thalheim.ioMic92But we can change this and have hydra-eval-jobset not inject a default06:53:29
@joerg:thalheim.ioMic92there is also a per package meta.maxSilent btw.06:53:45
@vcunat:matrix.orgvcunat Let me try setting .meta.maxSilent, I guess, perhaps globally for buildMozillaMach as it's a shared problem really. 06:54:33
