@maralorn:maralorn.demaralorn hellwolf: I don’t see how/why anyone would know that.^^ 12:52:52
@maralorn:maralorn.demaralornBut it seems not unlikely because hlint is picky about its ghc-lib-parser input.12:53:40

12:54:22
@maralorn:maralorn.demaralornAlthough, I guess there shouldn’t be an hlint for 9.12 yet, so it should still be compatible.12:54:24
@maralorn:maralorn.demaralornHah! called it!12:54:37

So, ghc-lib-parser is compatible with 9.6, but we still only use ghc-lib-parser 9.6 in the default package set.
12:55:37
@maralorn:maralorn.demaralornSo it would be possible to fix hlint_3_8 but it is broken by default.12:55:53
@hellwolf:matrix.orghellwolfexcellent, using haskell.packages.ghc98.hlint_3_8 now12:58:10
@hellwolf:matrix.orghellwolfThanks for explaining.12:58:57
@hellwolf:matrix.orghellwolf

but it didn't really solve my problem, I will report a bug

hs-pkgs/yul-dsl-linear-smc/src/YulDSL/LinearSMC.hs:249:9: Error: Parse error: on input `%'

@maralorn:maralorn.demaralornUuuh, living on the edge. 😄13:01:11
@hellwolf:matrix.orghellwolflife is short13:01:24
@mangoiv.:matrix.orgMangoIV Hi dear fleißige Bienchen who maintain the nixpkgs haskell support - what is the status on HLS for GHC 9.10? Anything in the caches? 13:40:31
@hellwolf:matrix.orghellwolf(I use it, probably built from local build server, not from cache)13:47:45

Should be.
13:51:10
@maralorn:maralorn.demaralornBut I think we only merged that caching for master like three days ago.13:51:31
@maralorn:maralorn.demaralornYeah, here: https://github.com/NixOS/nixpkgs/pull/35453713:53:26
@maralorn:maralorn.demaralornSo it is cached on haskell-updates and I don’t know whether hydra already built the job introduced with that PR.13:53:51

@maralorn:maralorn.demaralornGood to go!13:56:45
@maralorn:maralorn.demaralornYou just need a very fresh checkout.13:57:05
@mangoiv.:matrix.orgMangoIV I guess it’s not on unstable yet? 14:04:40
@mangoiv.:matrix.orgMangoIV But nice, thank you then I can now make the breaking change to my library nobody uses! 14:05:03

I guess it’s not on unstable yet?
I think it might be. status.nixos.org says last update was Yesterday. But I didn’t bother to check whether the commit given there includes the above PR.
14:08:28
@mangoiv.:matrix.orgMangoIV Not in nixpkgs-unstable yet 14:22:12
@mangoiv.:matrix.orgMangoIV Just FYI 14:22:17
@mangoiv.:matrix.orgMangoIVBut probably soon eh14:22:23
