elikoga | It seems to me like the build process is trying to execute an arm binary on the x86 build system, which doesn't work. You could activate binfmt emulation for arm, and try again, without or with the cross compilation depending on how you want to proceed. | 09:28:47 |
phaitonican | hm yea | 09:29:09 |
phaitonican | thing is i compiled the whole thing | 09:29:21 |
elikoga | https://search.nixos.org/options?channel=24.05&show=boot.binfmt.emulatedSystems&from=0&size=50&sort=relevance&type=packages&query=Binfmt | 09:29:22 |
phaitonican | if i use binfmt all goes away? | 09:29:32 |
elikoga | If you use binfmt you are able to use the native compilation tools But since your build fails only for the sd card, it could be that only that step is not maintained correctly. | 09:30:23 |
phaitonican | yes i think so too | 09:31:19 |
phaitonican | it tries to run "${nixpkgs}/nixos/lib/make-disk-image.nix" as aarch64 | 09:34:11 |
phaitonican | because of the top level nixpkgs.crossSystem.config = "aarch64-unknown-linux-gnu"; | 09:34:43 |
phaitonican | oh nevermind now i got it | 09:38:41 |
phaitonican | thanks | 09:38:43 |
phaitonican | (its other way around) | 09:38:53 |
phaitonican | idk... maybe somebody can help :b | 09:42:59 |
phaitonican | all good fixed by using pkgsCross.aarch64-multiplatform; instead of "globally" set it | 10:33:47 |

kjeremy | I've seen that on Windows lately (unrelated to nix) and the solution is https://stackoverflow.com/questions/11941175/git-fetch-pull-clone-hangs-on-receiving-objects | 14:03:37 |
