 cynerd | Hi. Quick question. Do you know why nixpkg's legacyPackages uses extend instead of passing overlay directly as argument? I am talking about this code: https://github.com/NixOS/nixpkgs/blob/master/flake.nix#L210 As far as I can see it would be the same if overlay would be passed in overlays parameter and for flakes using nixpkgs.legacyPackages directly it would safe cca 50MB of ram on evaluation. | 14:43:13 |
