Lix has its usage of language relating to Nix written down in its style guide. For us, Nix refers to the technology, not the implementation.

I always saw github.com/nixos/nix as the nix "reference" implementation defining the current state of the language called "nix". It's not. Nix has always referred to the project currently at https://github.com/NixOS/nix. It's not a reference implementation, since there is no Nix standard. | 12:19:28 |

Of course it's not a real "reference" just like you say, since there is no Nix standard, but there certainly is a language called "Nix" which is defined by the implementation "nixos/nix". At least that is what I wanted to say/mean.
