@maxeaubrey:matrix.org@maxeaubrey:matrix.orgAnd so I'm not sure that's as much a question for here as it is for whichever team owns graphical images as a whole?20:06:02
@maxeaubrey:matrix.org@maxeaubrey:matrix.org(if such a team exists, I have no clue)20:06:49
@shalokshalom:kde.org@shalokshalom:kde.orgI am not so familiar with the ISO building process. To my knowledge, there are only two ISOs, one Gnome and one KDE. And when we remove it from the base image, it just goes to the Gnome specific profile 20:25:02
@shalokshalom:kde.org@shalokshalom:kde.orgWho would miss it?20:25:17
@maxeaubrey:matrix.org@maxeaubrey:matrix.org I'm pretty sure I've built myself a rescue image from just the base forever ago. Regardless, gparted isn't part of gnome, and I'd hazard a guess that it's mostly included in the base config as a "power user" graphical tool. gnome-disk-utility is the equivalent of kde partition manager. I'd try to find the rather place to have this discussion via #dev:nixos.org /discourse, or by just opening a PR and requesting feedback on the change. 20:48:47

@k900:0upti.meK900I killed the GNOME jobset on Hydra for a bit08:25:06
@k900:0upti.meK900There's a lot of weird looking failures already if anyone wants to take a look08:25:25
@k900:0upti.meK900And unstable is stuck in scheduling heck08:25:43
@maxeaubrey:matrix.org@maxeaubrey:matrix.org K900 ⚡️: how can I find the "weird looking" failures? Not clear what to look for from the hydra eval page 08:30:37
@k900:0upti.meK900https://hydra.nixos.org/eval/1805401#tabs-now-fail08:32:19
@k900:0upti.meK900Unfortunately not really a good way to filter it down to root failures :(08:32:51
@maxeaubrey:matrix.org@maxeaubrey:matrix.orgAah, what I was looking at. Cool, I'll try to look for something in there tonight, and hope someone beats me to it08:35:13
@maxeaubrey:matrix.org@maxeaubrey:matrix.orgThanks08:35:15

@thatoo:matrix.orgThatooAfter a week, I'm starting to have a nixos gnome working nicely, I'm happy. Just some issue due to wayland like screensharing with Element and autotype in keepassxc but that's due to Wayland and I'm confident it will be solve some day soon, wayland being more and more used by default.09:13:15
@thatoo:matrix.orgThatooJust one weird behavior remain, notification from Element desktop don't display. I got the sound notification and Element icon shows me there is a notification but it doesn't display as if I was in "don't disturb" mode except I'm note and it doesn't appear in notification center neither (which it should even though I would be in "don't disturb" mode).09:15:43
@thatoo:matrix.orgThatooAnd it's not linked to wayland as I face the same issue if I try on Gnome on X1109:16:26
@thatoo:matrix.orgThatooHave you heard of it?09:16:29
@thatoo:matrix.orgThatooIs it specific to Element desktop app of to Electron apps?09:16:59
@thatoo:matrix.orgThatooI can't find any issue open about element app or electron app and notification issue on https://github.com/NixOS/nixpkgs09:18:46
@thatoo:matrix.orgThatooOtherwies notifications are working perfectly fine with Firefox and Thunderbird for example09:19:48

@thatoo:matrix.orgThatooI opened an issue here for the record : https://github.com/NixOS/nixpkgs/issues/30149309:37:15
@iclanzan:matrix.orgiclanzanFor what it's worth, I am having the same problem with Element notifications not displaying. It used to work fine a while back.11:25:02
@thatoo:matrix.orgThatooAs I'm new on nixos, I can't tell if it use to work or not... Could you share this feedback on the issue I opened? On my side, I'll to check if this issue is on ubuntu gnome 45 with Element 1.11.61 or debian gnome (current version of gnome on debian) and Element 1.11.6111:28:51
@iclanzan:matrix.orgiclanzanLooks like it has been fixed recently: https://github.com/NixOS/nixpkgs/pull/29697111:34:14
@thatoo:matrix.orgThatooI see but it has not been backported apparently11:35:53
