maxine (they/them) | bobby285271Jan TojnarWould it be at all helpful if I shared access to my build cache for the gnome-46 branch with you? I figure it's wasteful, time and resource wise, to have to build the branch when I'm already building it if you have the time pick at the updates, and it's definitely still far too early to waste hydra on this.

https://github.com/NixOS/nixpkgs/commit/7f92f5e9842716948c43ad176b1514b450086c67 probably helps 🙃

ElvishJerricco | Has anyone messed with Gnome's experimental "minimal" HDR implementation? According to this you can at least get it to go to HDR mode, though it's not clear to me if that's meant to be in any way correct. On my system the color gets pretty bad. So I dunno if that's just meant to be like "we can technically do HDR but not really at all" or if there's something wrong | 06:19:08 |
ElvishJerricco | (HDR works as expected on plasma 6) | 06:19:35 |
ElvishJerricco | ((and yes I know HDR is largely useless without the client support in this but I'm just curious)) | 06:19:59 |
maxine (they/them) | Right, I'm signing off from actively participating in gnome-46 for the next 2-3 weeks, pending how much time I manage to find between life and work. bobby285271Jan Tojnarafaict, current branch doesn't build orca and gnome-builder (iirc just rebasing patches), and gnome-maps times out on most tests. I started on gst (my fork, gnome-46-gst), but only got core and base sorted before I realised I have some personal deadlines become actively pressing. Lemme know if I can lend compute tho

bobby285271 | I believe I ran into https://gitlab.freedesktop.org/gstreamer/gstreamer/-/issues/3353 (full build logs at debian) when building orca 🤷 | 01:50:16 |
Lily Foster | In reply to @bobby285271:matrix.org I believe I ran into https://gitlab.freedesktop.org/gstreamer/gstreamer/-/issues/3353 (full build logs at debian) when building orca 🤷 we haven't packaged 1.23, right? | 01:58:04 |
bobby285271 | Yeah, still on 1.22. This is most likely caused by pygobject bump. I started building with pygobject bump reverted. | 02:06:18 |
