@philiptaron:matrix.orgPhilip Taron (UTC-8) Speaking of GLib, I made a PR against staging to switch libelf out for elfutils in glib's dependencies, as libelf has not been updated since 2014. 17:03:52
@philiptaron:matrix.orgPhilip Taron (UTC-8) I did build glib on both x86-64_darwin and aarch64-darwin, which (on staging) took absolutely forever. 😮‍💨 17:04:54
@uep:matrix.orguepHm. I just hit the thing where the gnome-online-accounts webview for auth UI .. crashes gnome shell. I thought that was fixed some time ago. Do I misremember or has it reappeared.23:11:57

Do not remember that issue, only that it the webview was blank.

@maxeaubrey:matrix.org@maxeaubrey:matrix.org

I've opened a PR with my and bobby285271's commits to kick off GNOME 46 - https://github.com/NixOS/nixpkgs/pull/291339

I'll keep picking at updates hopefully throughout this week as I have time in the evenings, aiming to get most things building before stable drops. I'll have much more limited availability and time starting from the 8th until most likely early April, which unfortunately does not work with the release schedule.

bobby285271Jan TojnarWould it be at all helpful if I shared access to my build cache for the gnome-46 branch with you? I figure it's wasteful, time and resource wise, to have to build the branch when I'm already building it if you have the time pick at the updates, and it's definitely still far too early to waste hydra on this.

@elvishjerricco:matrix.orgElvishJerricco Has anyone messed with Gnome's experimental "minimal" HDR implementation? According to this you can at least get it to go to HDR mode, though it's not clear to me if that's meant to be in any way correct. On my system the color gets pretty bad. So I dunno if that's just meant to be like "we can technically do HDR but not really at all" or if there's something wrong 06:19:08
@elvishjerricco:matrix.orgElvishJerricco(HDR works as expected on plasma 6)06:19:35
