@k900:0upti.meK900 I'm not sure if there's any actual feature difference 14:04:32

@normalcea:matrix.orgjasi 🏳️‍⚧️ Then GNOME shouldn't have to hold up this change then. 00:01:27
@normalcea:matrix.orgjasi 🏳️‍⚧️I don't see GNOME implementing xdg_decoration (server-side decoration) anytime soon so we can look towards https://github.com/FedoraQt/QAdwaitaDecorations for QoL integration (though this should be opt-in for GNOME desktop module users imo)00:03:28

@katja:zaphyra.eukatja (she/her) left the room.13:29:46
@jtojnar:matrix.orgJan Tojnar I am fine with Qt apps’ CSD looking foreign on GNOME, as long there are some window controls. Vanilla GNOME does not care either. If someone is later interested in installing qtwayland optionally in gnome.nix I would be fine with that too. 16:45:32
@k900:0upti.meK900The thing that kinda fucked me on this is that I can't figure out a good way to install qtwayland16:46:32
@k900:0upti.meK900Like16:46:33
@k900:0upti.meK900What's the condition when it needs to exist16:46:37
@k900:0upti.meK900 I guess an extra option like gnome.qtIntegration or w/e? 16:46:53
@k900:0upti.meK900Is the only way I can see16:46:58
@emilazy:matrix.orgemilyjust unconditionally in GNOME?16:47:00
@emilazy:matrix.orgemilyis the closure that big? I'd guess most systems have at least one Qt thing lying around16:47:10
@k900:0upti.meK900I'm sure we're going to get at least a few people who are going to be mad about Qt dirtying their pure GTK systems16:50:10

@k900:0upti.meK900Closure size is Not Great tbh16:51:52
@k900:0upti.meK900But yeah I think option is the way to go16:52:27
@emilazy:matrix.orgemilydefault on?16:54:44
@emilazy:matrix.orgemilyfor the ISO it'll be no increase of course.16:54:55
@k900:0upti.meK900Yeah probably16:56:11
@k900:0upti.meK900I mean16:56:12
@k900:0upti.meK900 I'll let @Jan Tojnar make that coll 16:56:13
@k900:0upti.meK900 I'll let @Jan Tojnar make that call 16:56:14
@k900:0upti.meK900But I think default on makes sense16:56:18
@k900:0upti.meK900Unless you really like bradient I guess16:56:41

16:57:07
@k900:0upti.meK900(this is bradient, the only decoration theme available by default)16:57:30
@k900:0upti.meK900(and yes, it's called bradient, I'm not sure why)16:57:36
@k900:0upti.meK900
Also move implementation of the current built-in decoration to the "bradient"
plugin, named in glorious memory of the programmer-designed blue gradient that
will forever sear our eyeballs.
