GNOME does not support system tray. You need a third-party extension such as gnomeExtensions.appindicator for that.

@jtojnar:matrix.orgJan TojnarQt themes are weird in my experience, I would prefer to get rid of them https://github.com/NixOS/nixpkgs/pull/21007722:11:05

@uep:matrix.orguep I had services.logind.lidSwitch = "ignore"; on one system for this 04:12:25
@uep:matrix.orguep as well as services.xserver.displayManager.gdm.autoSuspend = false; to stop it suspending at the login prompt 04:13:25
@uep:matrix.orguep(I say had because that box has now been retired, but I would assume it still works)04:14:05
@uep:matrix.orguepFor the behaviour once you are already logged in, it's a normal gnome setting (just use the gui options, or home-manager dconf module_04:16:08

@lehmanator:gnulinux.club@lehmanator:gnulinux.club

How do I force electron apps to follow my GNOME system theme on Wayland? Every app just defaults to light mode.

I have config creating ~/.config/electron-flags.conf with the following:

--enable-features=UseOzonePlatform,WaylandWindowDecorations
--ozone-platform-hint=wayland
01:02:17
@lehmanator:gnulinux.club@lehmanator:gnulinux.club

I also have environment.sessionVariables.NIXOS_OZONE_WL = "1" in my NixOS config.

Qt apps are also displaying in light mode, no matter what I set qt.platformTheme & qt.style to in both NixOS & home-manager.

@bobby285271:matrix.orgbobby285271 I think I will look into a QGnomePlatform bump in the next few days, I have a draft but never finish reading the changes (specifically I want to test unsetting QT_STYLE_OVERRIDE). 04:04:51
