@normalcea:matrix.orgjasi 🏳️‍⚧️I don't know if my PR is what you're looking for22:38:37
@grimmauld:grapevine.grimmauld.deGrimmauld (any/all)In theory libglycin needs to build without gtk4 in the closure22:38:50
@grimmauld:grapevine.grimmauld.deGrimmauld (any/all)and glycin-loaders can be added at runtime using the wrapGAppsHook22:39:04
@grimmauld:grapevine.grimmauld.deGrimmauld (any/all)(or e.g. standard paths in /etc, the way systemd/dbus avoid cyclic deps)22:39:33

Yeah I would be stumped on how to do this

@andrew15_5:matrix.orgAndrewSpeaking of autostart, I've noticed at least 2 or 3 times I logged in and all my autostart apps just straight up didn't launch, so I had to re-log in. But I think a few that were run from systemd unit, did still run. I would've never thought that autostart is so unreliable.01:13:06
@andrew15_5:matrix.orgAndrewI have only one hunch: it might only happen randomly if I don't provide a correct password on the first try. I feel like I see this only when I fail at least once.01:14:10

@mcnesium:matrix.org@mcnesium:matrix.org how does the process of updating gnome extensions work? there does not seem to be a package with version number or hash, that can be updated. the "source" link of gnomeExtensions.user-stylesheet-font goes here 09:09:36

@jaafar:kde.org@jaafar:kde.orgFile picker works in some apps, doesn't work in others. For example, the Attach button in messaging apps like Fractal (Matrix client), Telegram Desktop, or Legcord should bring up a file picker, but doesn't. Adding a picture to the list of backgrounds in Settings has the same problem, and likewise in some of my Flatpak apps. File picker in other apps works, though, like WINE apps, Firefox, and KeePassXC, but I'm guessing the file picker in GTK3 apps is different from the one in GTK4/Libadwaita apps?16:47:41

Other apps where file pickers don't work:

  • Steam (native)

@jaafar:kde.org@jaafar:kde.orgMy wild guess is that it's something that has to do with my choice of display manager, which is COSMIC Comp rather than GDM. I know that GNOME needs GDM for "some features", but I don't know if the file picker is one of them.16:55:06

Shot in the dark, but...

Try adding zenity to your $PATH, e.g. via environment.systemPackages. If that doesn't work I am afraid you'll have to strace

@grimmauld:grapevine.grimmauld.deGrimmauld (any/all)Usually file pickers are opened via dbus, but some things directly call zenith (and expect it to exist). I know this is the case for sdl3 (which we patch to actually use an absolute path for zenith), I suspect there might be apps that lack such patches17:34:10
