Jan Tojnar | if yes, we do not even expose regular programs to it, you would have to edit the command in https://github.com/NixOS/nixpkgs/issues/33277#issuecomment-354689755 | 20:21:16 |

hmenke | In reply to @hmenke:matrix.org Usually applications can be maximized by double-clicking the top window border, however, the new GNOME Console (kgx) can no longer be maximized this way. I have to right click the top bar and select “Maximize”/“Restore” from the context menu. After updating to NixOS 23.05 this problem appeared again, albeit for a different class of applications. So far it seems that anything that is not a GTK application can no longer be maximized by double-clicking the top window border. | 18:37:15 |

Jan Tojnar | but that has already been merged a while ago https://github.com/NixOS/nixpkgs/pull/237042 | 19:28:03 |
Jan Tojnar | and I do not think chromium does that by default | 19:28:24 |

roshan | byteio.in 🌷 | In reply to @jtojnar:matrix.org if gnome crashes during login, it can switch to X11 and then remember that yes, when i select Gnome Wayland and enter password and again login screen pop-up with auto selected Gnome Xorg.
why Gnome not working with Wayland ?
Gnome was working fine with wayland in NixOS 22.11 but after upgrading to NixOS 23.05 Gnome not working with wayland session.

Jan Tojnar | theDev.one 🌷: hard to say for certain. Try looking at journal, maybe after enabling services.xserver.displayManager.gdm.debug = true; and services.xserver.desktopManager.gnome.debug = true; | 15:22:17 |

Jan Tojnar | theDev.one 🌷: could you also include gnome-session logs? Looks like it is getting SIGTERM'd https://yaso.su/KBXeaQML#L238#L193 | 18:59:47 |

@ashvith:matrix.org | Hello folks, I have this issue where GNOME's symbolic icons aren't showing for apps like Firefox and Blackbox. Was wondering if there was some issue with my setup? | 07:20:34 |
@ashvith:matrix.org |  Download Screenshot from 2023-06-27 12-48-17.png | 07:20:41 |
@ashvith:matrix.org | The first screenshot is from Fedora | 07:20:51 |
@ashvith:matrix.org |  Download Screenshot from 2023-06-27 12-48-58.png | 07:20:57 |
@ashvith:matrix.org | And the second one from NixOS | 07:21:04 |
| @ashvith:matrix.org changed their display name from ashvith to Ashvith. | 09:50:02 |
Jan Tojnar | Ashvith: fedora probably adds custom symbolic icon into the package | 20:20:54 |
