Hey, I cannot record anything on the microphone (pipewire detects white noise, pulseaudio nothing) of my Dell XPS 13 (9320). Any idea how to debug this? Arch linux claims it should work, and ubuntu (provided by dell) used to be installed and it was working fine. Probably a few different ways to debug it... Sorry for the late reply. | 50nj1ku | In my case pavucontrol has 2 different microphones to select from for the internal sound card. One of them is just the same name as the other with " (unplugged)" appended at the end. Try switching them if its the same case for you. | 02:25:03 |

| @fractivore:cyberia.club | fluidsynth (the CLI program) - too much work to get started, plus you really want a GUI for this kind of stuff.
linuxsampler with qsampler frontend - far too buggy to use, I couldn't get past the bugs to even make sound from it.
Those were the ones I tried before realizing Ardour8 has ACE FluidSynth and trying it out.
