Ohh heck yeah, I'm so glad calf stuff is packaged, some of my fav plugins
17:01:36
@sonjiku:matrix.org50nj1kuSadly Calf Reverse Delay seems to be a glorified bypass button for me. When its enable it doesn't affect the signal at all, only the bypass button works17:09:02
@sonjiku:matrix.org50nj1kuAlso they don't mention it at all in their online docs17:09:16
@Minijackson:matrix.orgMinijacksonhuh, I can't get it to work either 😕17:13:15
@fractivore:cyberia.club@fractivore:cyberia.clubI want to install basically every soft synth available on NixOS. Anyone know where I can get a big list of these? And, any favs and suggestions anyone knows has been packaged? So far I have Yoshimi, that's about it.20:10:10
@fractivore:cyberia.club@fractivore:cyberia.clubI have never settled on a good plugin suite. Now that I'm giving NixOS another shot for audio, I want to really land on one that I can just declare and stop tinkering with for a while.20:10:51
@Minijackson:matrix.orgMinijacksonI have a soft spot for Cardinal / VCV-rack, but it's a beast to master20:11:18
@Minijackson:matrix.orgMinijacksonSurge is also great20:11:26
@fractivore:cyberia.club@fractivore:cyberia.clubCool, I'll check em out! Never used either of those!20:11:45
@Minijackson:matrix.orgMinijacksonArdour says I have these instruments:20:12:42

sent an image.
So I recognize a lot of those from AV Linux: MX Edition. A lot of them shipped with the distro so I'm not sure exactly which packs or whatever installed some of them.

@rampoina:matrix.orgRampoina as for getting a list I don't have any better suggestion than https://search.nixos.org/packages?channel=23.11&from=0&size=50&sort=relevance&type=packages&query=synthesizer 20:16:33
@fractivore:cyberia.club@fractivore:cyberia.clubOh yeah Helm is rad, I've used that one quite a bit20:16:37

csound :P
I hadn't heard of this before. So it's like an old school music language and framework? Sounds like it could be fun to livecode in!
20:23:33
@fractivore:cyberia.club@fractivore:cyberia.clubHey neat, orca-c (esoteric livecoding language) has been packaged!20:24:47
@fractivore:cyberia.club@fractivore:cyberia.clubSo is sonic-pi. I've had a lot of fun livecoding in both of these languages. I find sonic-pi a lot more practical but orca is really fun, it's almost like a video game.20:25:28
@fractivore:cyberia.club@fractivore:cyberia.clubAny recommendations for mastering plugins? I'm not very experienced with these in general.20:28:25
