@wonko:4amlunch.netBrian HechingerDammit, I got too excited there.17:58:08
@wonko:4amlunch.netBrian HechingerSo, got audacious, which supports pipewire directly. Still same crackling. So it's not any of the compatibility stuff.18:14:49
@wonko:4amlunch.netBrian HechingerOk, big updates on the ardour not routing sound thing. It's been a while since I set it up and totally forgot about the In button needing to be pressed. 🤦‍♂️18:55:46
@wonko:4amlunch.netBrian Hechingerso that's a mystery solved.18:55:53
@wonko:4amlunch.netBrian Hechingerbut RaySession still refuses to see JACK as running18:56:16
@wonko:4amlunch.netBrian Hechingerwhich is a bummer.18:56:19
@wonko:4amlunch.netBrian HechingerAnd now I'm not entirely sure what to do with mic output that on my old setup went to a jack-pulse bridge for apps to use the mic. Can you make pulse bridges in pipewire?18:57:05
@wonko:4amlunch.netBrian HechingerAnother interesting thing is the crackle is gone again. No idea why. :-D19:04:23
@wonko:4amlunch.netBrian HechingerHa, started google meets and it's all gone a bit mad19:22:00

@sonjiku:matrix.org50nj1kuBut I'm not sure how to change the options of it10:34:09
@sonjiku:matrix.org50nj1kuDo I just do that in configuration.nix?10:34:48
@Minijackson:matrix.orgMinijacksonif you have followed the musnix README, then yes, the musnix options will be available from any of your NixOS configuration files11:44:34

@fractivore:cyberia.clubsymys

I'm taking another stab at switching my audio stack over to NixOS (from AV Linux: MX Edition).

pkgs.linuxPackages-rt_latest - this is a realtime kernel right??

Anybody work in Ardour on NixOS much? I am kind of looking for general configuration pointers - but specifically wondering how to resolve the first warning it gives me, about how Ardour might run out of memory before the system does.

I think you'll want this configuration: https://github.com/musnix/musnix/blob/master/modules/base.nix#L87

@Minijackson:matrix.orgMinijacksonYou might want to setup musnix as a whole, it'll setup the realtime kernel, the limits, among other things15:59:46

@sonjiku:matrix.org50nj1kuHey does anyone know of any good reverse delay plugins I can find in packages? Or something that will help get a similar effect16:11:17
