i'm planning on doing a proper gpu passthrough setup once i have any sort of income and i'll look into making an opencore-based macos vm

I stopped with passthrough because

  1. My games work with Proton now
  2. Opencore Macos vms are a dying breed at this point

Honestly the dream died for passthrough, which is good and bad

haswell doesn't support gvt-g (virtualized igpu) so passing the whole graphics controller is a little more involved
That is actually pretty interesting

@wonko:4amlunch.netBrian HechingerI also stopped passthrough because of the proton thing. I don't care about MacOS, but zero NKS support on linux means a VM is the only way to go with the NI stack if you want to use their controllers (and why would you use their software if you didn't)11:13:41

Didn't know NKS support is dead on Linux :
Thanks for letting me know and sharing your experience

There was never NKS support on linux. I plan to add support for it, but getting around to that is taking a while.

Wish you the best of luck mate
I'll checkout my NKS account since it has some 3 year dust on it

@fractivore:cyberia.club@fractivore:cyberia.clubSo..... I changed the sample rate on my (STUDIO-CAPTURE 16x10) audio interface, when I had been using JACK, after the lock had been released by the audio interface but before NixOS finished the shutdown process... JACK was unable to shutdown properly the next time. Not sure the exact cause. I guess it's not a great idea to be changing values on a peripheral during the shutdown process in general.11:42:12

@fractivore:cyberia.club@fractivore:cyberia.clubThanks!! Working on an album with my band. This is the one that's the closest to done so far. We're still gonna record one more part, a little light accoustic guitar over the middle and end of the song. I know that'll change things a little bit but I've still tried to get most of the mixing and effects done.05:05:45

It's not, he tuned with a tuner pedal right before each recording. Are you talking like, right right at the very beginning? Maybe I can fix it in post...

also is the ending sped up?
It's played at a faster tempo than the earlier part of the song, not like artificially sped up.
