| I am not looking for trouble, and see all the work that is put into the release. I do feel a shift and grift to the community with such changes that should be discussed elsewhere I guess. | 07:22:44 | |
| Branding looks very much in scope of the marketing team, in my eyes. | 07:23:20 | |
| It’s currently not, unfortunately. There is not much more then a few other guideline suggestions (no AI, release under open license, adhere to branding guide) and for it to be a discourse thread instead of issue + PRs | 07:23:25 | |

| thats how it's evolving in the last ~12 months yea, by such changes pushed by some. | 07:24:05 | |
| all good. best of luck on that | 07:24:26 | |
| I can say that Sigmanificientalready did some work on a release logo :) | 07:24:48 | |
| And lennart, I originally wanted another animal with X (Xerus), but then someone made me aware, that Ubuntu already used that and I don’t want that ^^ | 07:26:11 | |
| typical Canonical 🙄 | 07:26:54 | |
| happy to read the results of the discussion on guidlines, including call for artworks. let's leave it at that? I know there are much more more important tasks for a release :) | 07:28:17 | |
| btw there is at least one public domain image of a xantusia: https://commons.m.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:Xantusia_vigilis1.jpg This was actually one of the criteria, as for quite a lot of other X-animals I could find none | 07:31:36 | |

In reply to @lennart:0520.ch As @leona:leona.ispointed out, we (marketing team) are fully aware that release logos have to be part of the process. Though we want to streamline them as well. These effort's were already measured in for a while. I am a bit confused though you call these changes nonsense. I respect your opinion but this is just a larger effort to document and bring together all things that visually represent nix so we can have a more uniform presentation to the outside world and help people find proper documentation when working on visual material. | 08:25:40
| I call them nonsense since they break the processes, with close to zero transparency on such changes. good that Marketing Team is fully aware, looking forward to the results before 25.11 release date. as proposed previously, lets leave it at that. | 08:28:45 | |
In reply to @lennart:0520.chI personally used that picture, (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Xantusia#/media/File:Xantusia_vigilis1.jpg) which is public domain! | 10:32:41
| hej no worries, I did not mean you. I just want transparent processes with clear guidelines and nothing breaking and no trouble like copyright claims. this is a bit exhausting, gonna see what weekend brings, bye | 10:34:19 | |
In reply to @leona:leona.isWell it takes times to changes to tweak the vector, and i am no professionel, i still find it to be a wanky for now 😅 | 10:34:35

| Looks awesome already 😍 | 10:44:30 | |
| what if the tail, instead of being over the lgo, wrapped under some of the lambdas? Might make for an interesting visual design | 15:14:40 | |
| and gives it a bit of depth and complexity without seeming too much more complex | 15:14:56 | |
| love the work so far though! | 15:16:35 | |

| I wanted to post the official discourse post. The original idea was a general post like “multiple people suggesting their ideas”, but it could also turn out to be some collaborative effort | 20:16:38 | |
