@r_i_s:matrix.orgris_ is it too late to remove packages for 24.05? (thinking of old versions of things that won't see 6 months more support...) 10:56:16
@r_i_s:matrix.orgris_i'm going to assume if the answer was "no" someone would have screamed by now11:47:36
@vcunat:matrix.orgVladimír ČunátI suppose it's much better to remove them now before the official release then later - or than risking that they will be vulnerable and relied on.13:39:09

@hexa:lossy.networkhexaWe should maybe also backport the v8 bump if possible. We're currently rolling with a 3y old version13:56:58

Figure out if we deprecate macos 10.12 for next release

The first step of the SDK update was a refactor, so 10.12 support could be preserved if it’s decided not to deprecate it yet.

@jacg:matrix.org@jacg:matrix.org Release note PRs should continue on master, and rely on the automated backports to propagate them into the release branch ? 07:25:03
@qyliss:fairydust.spaceAlyssa RossYeah, otherwise they'd end up being lost from the collection of release notes for all releases that exists on master.07:25:46
@vcunat:matrix.orgVladimír ČunátEither way you want to sync on both branches, at least eventually.07:26:20

Two days before expected release date, change stableBranch to true in Hydra and wait for the channel to update.

Should I do this now?
