Bryan Honof | In reply to @arianvp:matrix.org My feeling it is not important given we never uploaded ZFS AMIs to Amazon in the first place so only affects people who were manually uploading them? But i know some people do rely on them. Please have a look! Maybe its just something very simple and trivial I would very much appreciate if there were NixOS AMI images that at least included the kernel package. In the past I've had to set up my own pipeline to create NixOS images, just to enable that. Let me know if I can help out in any way! 😁 | 22:13:17 |

Vladimír Čunát | Right, don't think the staging branch will reach 24.05 anymore (switching to cherry-picking if needed). | 06:28:45 |
Randy Eckenrode | So post-24.05 stuff can potentially start going into staging? | 12:01:25 |
Alyssa Ross | yes | 12:01:41 |
Randy Eckenrode | Great! My ld64/cross/clang18 branch is 170 commits on top of staging right now. I’d like to start landing some of the changes, but I was holding off on some of them because it was too close to release. | 12:09:14 |

Mic92 | In reply to @vcunat:matrix.org Janne Heß: zh.fail is broken (also git.helsinki.tools where it was running, I think) Just out of interest. Is the nixos configuration that produces this website somewhere available? | 10:16:25 |
Vladimír Čunát | In reply to @joerg:thalheim.io Just out of interest. Is the nixos configuration that produces this website somewhere available? It's open gitlab pipeline... | 10:34:05 |

raboof | how does the release process work with respect to breaking changes? https://github.com/NixOS/nixpkgs/issues/303285 says "no breaking changes on any branch from 2024-05-01". https://github.com/NixOS/nixpkgs/pull/309347 was merged 2024-05-16, but it turns out that broke python3Packages.pythonocc-core (https://github.com/NixOS/nixpkgs/issues/312955). Fixing this on the pythonocc-core side seems nontrivial. should we revert https://github.com/NixOS/nixpkgs/pull/309347 for now? | 18:42:48 |
Vladimír Čunát | Yes, I think so. | 18:43:40 |
Vladimír Čunát | (I haven't looked at the links, just your description.) | 18:43:51 |
Vladimír Čunát | * Yes, I believe so. | 18:44:03 |
raboof | ah wait there might be a way out - I'll try and see if I can fix pythonocc-core after all, otherwise I'll create the revert PR | 18:44:49 |
raboof | (looks like I could avoid a revert, https://github.com/NixOS/nixpkgs/pull/312962, though nixpkgs-review seems to choke on it for some reason?) | 19:06:56 |
