I think it might be wise to have you read the rfc first.. i didnāt propose two different formats. There are only doc-comments for the next expression; not the previous. I thought it would just work fine, no need for the complexity.
But maybe we need think about this a little. And also bring support for backwards reference.
In rust the only thing where this is used is at the top of a file. But in nix a file can only export one single expression; multiple expressions is just not possible. Thats why i thought we dont need backwards reference | 14:19:24 |

My first impression is that it tries to do multiple things at once (at least: a syntax for distinguishing doc comments, and the internal structure of doc comments), and that makes it somewhat hard to focus the discussion. | 12:12:51 |

Although i'd argue hat both concerns (outer-format & inner-format) are somewhat closely related to each other. Thus it might make sense to address both at once.
