If you want to add a native messaging host, you want to use the programs.firefox options nope, I don't need to add anything nor is it related to messaging hosts. I just need to access local files of an application I installed trough my NixOS config | 21:20:52 |

Look for ~/.librewolf/native-messaging-hosts/ (may not exist, create the directory if not)
In the keepasscx client, navigate to tools > settings > browser integration > advanced
enable use a custom browser configuration
select Firefox
and put in ~/.librewolf/native-messaging-hosts/
once you delete and reinstall the browser extension after restarting keepass and librewolf, it should start working.
