packet any/all | Hello, coming back to ask an amateur question. Where do I access a config file for an application (in this case librewolf)? I can't figure it out but I am sure in hindsight it will be obvious to me. Could anyone help? Thanks in advance! | 21:05:58 |

K900 ⚡️ | What config file? | 21:09:03 |
packet any/all | In reply to @k900:0upti.me What config file? config file that you would use for custom browser configuration on keepassxc | 21:15:19 |
K900 ⚡️ | Uhh, what | 21:15:32 |
packet any/all | /.librewolf/native-messaging-hosts/
would be this specific directory, if not existent just need to create one | 21:16:46 |
K900 ⚡️ | If you want to add a native messaging host, you want to use the programs.firefox options | 21:17:53 |
K900 ⚡️ | And this is way off topic for this room | 21:17:59 |
K900 ⚡️ | You want #users:nixos.org | 21:18:20 |
packet any/all | In reply to @k900:0upti.me If you want to add a native messaging host, you want to use the programs.firefox options nope, I don't need to add anything nor is it related to messaging hosts. I just need to access local files of an application I installed trough my NixOS config | 21:20:52 |
packet any/all | it is just that in my /nix/share/ folder there are multiple folders called /librewolf/, as seen trough dolphin | 21:28:00 |
packet any/all | the operation would be done as follows:
Look for ~/.librewolf/native-messaging-hosts/ (may not exist, create the directory if not)
In the keepasscx client, navigate to tools > settings > browser integration > advanced
enable use a custom browser configuration
select Firefox
and put in ~/.librewolf/native-messaging-hosts/
once you delete and reinstall the browser extension after restarting keepass and librewolf, it should start working.
