@Pratham Patel (you can mention me) I was thinking of some “ready-to-use” examples to be added to the installation docs or as a subsequent step so that people configuring their nix/nixOS setup for the first time would have a sane, solid base to start from.
Though from what I got mentors are supposed to propose ideas, but then students are supposed to take on ‘em and then be the actual “doers" Oh, so you mean, for X usecase, here's the starting template and for Y, this is what you use and here's another template for Z. Correct? | 15:58:18 |

 Janik (they/them) | if they are in the nixpkgs or nixos manuals adding flake instructions isn't really a option since they are considered unstbale and thus we don't really support them documentation wise, that's one of the reasons why newcomers using the zero2nix installer and official documentation are often so confused, but that doesn't really change anything in terms of how one would structure a template since the only difference between flakes and classical nix is basically the entry point and in most cases you can replace a flake.nix with a default.nix and a shell.nix. Are you sure you would be able to fill the minimum of 90 hours with that task? | 16:40:32 |
