* What is really super cool is that if you look at the right symbol section you have these functions like lets say writeStructuredAttrsShell that you can search for, and then even open it in vscode right there in the browser tab with "view file in GitHub.dev" I had no idea, that's pretty cool :o | 10:39:16

| Can one send a draft proposal for a feedback? I’d like to send mine in couple days. | 08:54:25 | |
| I'm pretty sure you're allowed to do that, I'd at least have a draft ready if I were you :) | 08:59:53 | |
| So upon hearing a yes (pretty likely), you can immediately send one | 09:00:17 | |
| Yeah I hope so. I am going away for a trip next week right until the application process starts, and I wont have much computer access during that time so Id appreciate some feedback before I leave. | 09:30:00 | |

| I'd ask Janik as they initiated GSoC for NixOS :D | 17:39:41 | |
In reply to @thefossguy:matrix.orgYes they already put thumbs up emoji on my request | 18:09:03
| Nice, didn't notice (am sleepy) | 18:12:16 | |

| Hello, Tirth from India here. I am a computer science undergrad at IITBHU. I am currently pursuing an internship with LaunchX labs, developing an AI co-pilot tool for personalised message generation. I have also worked with languages like solidity, move and rust while I was developing a decentralised exchange for my college cohort. Relatively new in nix, but hoping to get to know it well! | 20:05:21 | |

| Hello, my name is Benjamin and I am currently a year 4 computer science undergrad at the National University of Singapore (NUS). I have interned at a local trading company and that sparked my interest in the system side of computers. I am quite interested in the underlying implementations of computer systems as well as distributed systems. I am currently working on a static program analyzer as a school project. I am quite new to Nix but I believe I can pick it up quite quickly. I am interested in "nixpkgs library networking functions" project. I have some questions regarding the project:

| Hello, I am Lymah. Glad to be here. Career changer. A junior Backend Developer. I am an open source contributor. I have checked out NixOS organization, as I am interested in deployment and infrastructure. I am ready to be mentored, learn and grow in open source community. I would like to be a part of the organization. | 19:50:33 | |
| Hi I am Everest. I am a graduate student at Boise State University. I have a decent experience with developing and designing CI/CD pipeline. I am interested interested in deployment and infrastructure. I would love to be part of GSoC and contribute to the open source community. | 20:53:10 | |

| Greetings everyone! I'll go for my #introduction : I'm a mathematics bachelor doing a PhD in music technology. My way into the Tidal Cycles (music live coding system) code base happily brought me into Haskell and functional programming. Currently I daily drive NixOS on my laptop and have been using nix-shell to share a development environment for my own Haskell live coding music library with my advisors. I find Nix's scope and principles are very engaging. I think reproducibility, simple mathematical denotation and full source bootstrapabilty are the wayforward for the software development. I'm not a programmer by trade, but am sure I can contribute something meaninful. I'll dig into the ideas and work on a suitable proposal. | 23:47:34 | |
