mfed3 | By the way the other fix to this is to enable Above 4G decoding in BIOS, fixes it without the need of a kernel patch or update to the amd driver | 01:30:59 |
Rostby | I'm convinced I'm one of 5 people who use lutris on nixos | 01:39:59 |
mfed3 | Hah, I haven't used it in a while, what are the 3 separate packages I see in there | 02:22:18 |
mfed3 | lutris-free, lutris-unwrapped, lutris | 02:22:33 |
aidalgol | lutris is lutris-unwrapped in a FHS environment. lutris-free is lutris without the Steam runtime. | 18:54:39 |

SuperSamus | So, GStreamer with the latest version broke FHS environments (e.g. Bottles, I presume Lutris and Heroic too).
After lots of bisecting, I found the exact faulty commit.
I'm asking for someone with authority to make a decision on what to do now (e.g. revert upstream, only in nixpkgs, or something else entirely).

aidalgol | Is there a bug report upstream? | 22:23:44 |
SuperSamus | There are too many open issues to find it...
However, the "faulty commit" was created to fix this: https://gitlab.freedesktop.org/gstreamer/gstreamer/-/issues/2877 | 22:26:26 |
SuperSamus | * I skimmed through the open issues before the commit, didn't find it.
Note, the commit was created to fix this: https://gitlab.freedesktop.org/gstreamer/gstreamer/-/issues/2877 | 22:31:42 |
