I was able to use the official installer inside Lutris.
Is it only me or at the servers of lutris usually super flaky?

But ideally it should be done upstream
Try searching nixpkgs for the flag. Not the first package setting it
12:21:52
@k900:0upti.meK900Well yes but here we have an active upstream12:22:22
@k900:0upti.meK900And a lot of interested downstreams12:22:27
@k900:0upti.meK900Especially with Valve looking into bcachefs on Deck12:22:41
@sandro:supersandro.deSandro 🐧Also true12:49:36
@sandro:supersandro.deSandro 🐧Hopefully sometime moves there12:49:41
@k900:0upti.meK900Anyway I'm going to give upstream a bit more time to merge the change because they probably won't do it on the weekend 12:57:04

$ nix shell nixpkgs#pkgsi686Linux.vulkan-tools -c vkcube
vkEnumerateInstanceExtensionProperties failed to find the VK_KHR_surface extension.

Do you have a compatible Vulkan installable client driver (ICD) installed?
Please look at the Getting Started guide for additional information.

am i doing so-- oh god is this the bcachefs 64bit inode problem

23:23:07
@charles:computer.surgeryCharlesi'll find out in about 180 rebuilds i guess23:34:01

yea that's... being worked on: https://github.com/NixOS/nix/pull/11143
00:34:17
@charles:computer.surgeryCharleswoah it actually recovered00:39:45
@atemu12:matrix.orgAtemuWhy does vulkan-tools depend on electron anyways? Especially on i686...01:08:10
@k900:0upti.meK900It what 01:25:25
@k900:0upti.meK900It definitely didn't for me 01:25:30

I'm building my entire system with the patch

Interesting. During this build I preemptively set --max-jobs 1 anyway though
01:31:17
@elvishjerricco:matrix.orgElvishJerricco yea nixpkgs used to have -l $NIX_BUILD_CORES on make builds, but this wasn't optimal for hydra so they got rid of it 01:32:00
@k900:0upti.meK900The patch should only apply on i686 though 01:32:12
@elvishjerricco:matrix.orgElvishJerriccomy ability to do crazy rebuilds was greatly diminished that day :P01:32:12
@charles:computer.surgeryCharlesI probably did something wrong then lol01:34:58
@charles:computer.surgeryCharlesI just made an overlay with the patch01:35:17
@k900:0upti.meK900But did you make it conditional on i68601:36:59
