Ellie she/they | That is still not fixed unless i use kde plasma | 10:49:26 |
K900 | That patch is included in 25.2 | 10:49:29 |
Ellie she/they | But i use hyprland | 10:49:31 |
Ellie she/they | In reply to @k900:0upti.me That patch is included in 25.2 It is? | 10:49:42 |
Ellie she/they | Lemme check | 10:49:56 |
Marie | wait what, do we have linuxPackages_cachyos? | 10:50:09 |
Marie | i thought custom kernel rices are big nono | 10:50:17 |
K900 | It was added before we introduced this policy formally | 10:50:28 |
Marie | oh nvm it's from chaotic nyx | 10:51:49 |
Rein | Yeah, I don't think there's CachyOS in nixpkgs at all | 10:53:07 |
Rein | neither Kernel nor Proton flavour | 10:53:36 |
K900 | I may be thinking of a different rice then | 10:53:45 |
Marie | we have zen, lqx and xanmod | 10:54:55 |
Rein | There's libre, zen, rpi, lqx and xanmod | 10:54:58 |
Ellie she/they | What is the name from the default kernel then? | 11:03:11 |
Ellie she/they | I forgot | 11:03:16 |
Ellie she/they | Just to test | 11:03:20 |
Ellie she/they | But someone uses the same kernel and don't have the delay | 11:03:32 |
Ellie she/they | * But someone i know uses the same kernel and don't have the delay | 11:03:57 |
K900 | linuxPackages_latest | 11:04:10 |
Rein | Quick question: Does anyone else have issues with extraCompatPackages not appearing in Steam on the unstable branch? I've extraCompatPackages = with pkgs; [ proton-ge-bin ], but I can't see it in compatibility tools in Steam | 11:08:21 |
K900 | You need to use programs.steam.enable and remove steam from environment.systemPackages or similar | 11:08:46 |
K900 | For those options to have an effect | 11:08:49 |
Rein | I have programs.steam.enable set to true and I don't have Steam in systemPackages. I've read the wiki, it worked for some time, after one of the updates it stopped working | 11:10:28 |
Ellie she/they | Same thing | 11:10:29 |
Ellie she/they | Seems worse even | 11:10:34 |
Ellie she/they | What the heck | 11:10:51 |
Rein | In reply to @rein:rein.icu I have programs.steam.enable set to true and I don't have Steam in systemPackages. I've read the wiki, it worked for some time, after one of the updates it stopped working I have, however, steam-run in runtime inputs of a custom package that packages NixOS' script from theNizo's linux_rocksmith repo now that I think about it. Could that be causing any issues with compatibility packages? | 11:14:32 |

Rein | In reply to @witchlliee:matrix.org What the heck Did you try getting rid of CachyOS's ananicy rules? | 11:22:03 |
