Hi everyone,

I’m using NixOS on a Lenovo Legion Slim 7 16IRH8 with an RTX 4060 Laptop GPU.

The GPU works, but it is capped at 60W under load (59W / 60W in nvidia-smi). nvidia-smi -q -d POWER shows Max Power Limit: 140W, but Current/Default/Requested are 60W and nvidia-smi -pl is not supported.

Fn + Q does nothing, and ideapad_laptop allow_v4_dytc=1 does not expose platform_profile. BIOS is up to date (M0CN42WW). Any way to enable Lenovo performance mode or raise the GPU power limit under Linux?

@magic_rb:matrix.redalder.orgmagic_rb Do you have, uh, nvidia-powerd i think its called, running? 11:04:14
@magic_rb:matrix.redalder.orgmagic_rbThats what dynamically adjusts the power budget between the gpu and cpu11:04:29

Not sure. I have hardware.nvidia.powerManagement.enable = true; enabled in NixOS, but I don’t know if that is the same as nvidia-powerd.

That worked, thank you. Dynamic Boost was the missing piece.

@capypara:matrix.orgCapyparaHi! I'm trying to get the Valve Index to work through Monado, but it doesn't find the HMD and uses a simulated one instead. Does somebody know if there's more setup required for the Index than is documented in the wiki? 20:11:09
@capypara:matrix.orgCapypara(AMD GPU) 20:11:24
@hustlerone:matrix.orghustleronedoes your shit work on steamvr?20:40:40
@capypara:matrix.orgCapyparain the sense that it detects it: yes20:40:57
@capypara:matrix.orgCapyparait doesn't work because I don't have the kernel patch/bwrap patch20:41:11
@capypara:matrix.orgCapyparaIt works under Windows, so the hardware itself is fine.20:41:21
@capypara:matrix.orgCapyparatried nixpkgs-xr, doesn't make a difference20:58:20
@capypara:matrix.orgCapyparaDownload monado.log20:58:55
@capypara:matrix.orgCapyparagot it to work - i had to use another usb port for whatever reason, or maybe it's something else, who knows21:59:38
