KFears (tragedy arc) | Pushed another patchset for lix-installer. I guess the next one is the receipt.json obliteration, finally | 22:01:58 |
KFears (tragedy arc) | That's gonna be a big one | 22:02:02 |
KFears (tragedy arc) | Also, re: CI For MacOS, there's something called "Apple Virtualization Framework", which is vendorlocked to MacOS of course, but it uses Objective-C or Swift to write code. It doesn't look too bad (link), but it appears to be aarch64-only The better solution seems to be Tart, which already did the heavy lifting and uses this Virtualization Framework under the hood. They have some Packer stuff, but it seems it's just bootstrapping VM images, and it's unusable with plain Packer. So we'll have to use Tart CLI in some scripts or idk. The licensing is fairly nice, it's free for orgs using less than 100 CPU cores which is us | 22:18:09 |
KFears (tragedy arc) | If Buildbot is anything like Jenkins and can run shell commands on the host, maybe we can run Tart in Buildbot installed on MacOS hardware? lol | 22:20:58 |
KFears (tragedy arc) | Also Tart is also aarch64-only because it's built on virtualization framework, and there's basically no chance of x86_64 support | 22:21:56 |
just1602 | I've a CL which tests are failling with the following error: note: build failure may have been caused by lack of free disk space
Is buildbot cleaning up itself or someone need to go in and make some space? :/

raitobezarius | piegames can you tell me if you see anything wrong on CORS? | 16:58:01 |
raitobezarius | it should be fixed | 16:58:03 |
raitobezarius | jade_ sorry for the delay, too much things ongoing, i used it your dataclasses, please let me know if there's still weird behaviors | 16:58:23 |
puck | In reply to @raitobezarius:matrix.org piegames can you tell me if you see anything wrong on CORS? looks like it works to me, gerrit reporting works | 17:08:21 |
raitobezarius | In reply to @puck:puck.moe looks like it works to me, gerrit reporting works Thanks! | 18:21:09 |
KFears (tragedy arc) | Should the fix affect lix-installer too? | 18:23:39 |
raitobezarius | In reply to @kfears:matrix.org Should the fix affect lix-installer too? In theory, yes | 18:25:15 |
KFears (tragedy arc) | Hmm, so just to clarify: the approvals from Buildbot successful runs should be fine now? Or is there still some issue? | 18:27:27 |
KFears (tragedy arc) | Sorry, I'm a little out of context for why exactly the CI fails intermittently and also spams "approved" and "rejected" on my CLs D: | 18:27:58 |
raitobezarius | This phenomena should also be fixed, yes | 19:21:18 |
raitobezarius | This happened because nix-eval-jobs would serve as the signal to send an approval | 19:21:35 |
