KFears (burning out) | So weird... Workaround is for them to self-assign, perhaps? | 13:27:06 |
KFears (burning out) | Will need to check Forgejo issue tracker | 13:27:17 |
piegames | that would require more permission than they currently have | 13:31:22 |
piegames | though IIRC we give out triage rights fairly easily? | 13:31:37 |

KFears (burning out) | So apparently assigns to non-org members was never merged lol | 13:34:01 |
KFears (burning out) | In reply to @piegames:flausch.social though IIRC we give out triage rights fairly easily? Yeah give triage rights, should fix | 13:34:09 |
KFears (burning out) | Even I have triage rights so yep they are very liberally given | 13:35:06 |
helle (just a stray cat girl) | 83 out of 95 people, heh | 15:37:13 |
piegames | Hm, can someone else check? Still doesn't work, possibly I fucked up the permission somehow? | 15:51:36 |
piegames | CC @raitobezarius:matrix.org | 15:51:41 |
raitobezarius | Can take a look in roughly 9 hours (in bed right now) | 15:53:52 |
piegames | In reply to @raitobezarius:matrix.org Can take a look in roughly 9 hours (in bed right now) Which time zone happened to you? | 16:54:15 |

helle (just a stray cat girl) | okay, at this point, going to have a poke at reconstructing the entire doc/manual build system, it's written in 4 different languages and very unclear how it is even stuck together (which leads to uh, running any link checking is chaotic at best) | 01:20:07 |
raitobezarius | In reply to @piegames:flausch.social Which time zone happened to you? JST | 01:45:24 |
raitobezarius | In reply to @piegames:flausch.social Hm, can someone else check? Still doesn't work, possibly I fucked up the permission somehow? From what I see, the Darwin and Aarch64 capacity is down | 02:08:27 |
raitobezarius | I don't have the time to debug them unfortunately but I can coordinate with whom would have the access to do it, worst case, it will have to wait until I am back (this Sunday) | 02:09:45 |
Winter | how do we typically cherry pick from CppNix these days? ok to just ref upstream commit && set author to upstream author? | 03:03:23 |
Winter | or even a C-a-b trailer ig, depending on things | 03:03:36 |
raitobezarius | In reply to @raitobezarius:matrix.org From what I see, the Darwin and Aarch64 capacity is down aarch64-linux should be draining if not done | 08:28:21 |
raitobezarius | aarch64-darwin is still stuck but I may have some time to repair now | 08:28:32 |
raitobezarius | In reply to @winter:catgirl.cloud how do we typically cherry pick from CppNix these days? ok to just ref upstream commit && set author to upstream author? Afaik there's a script in contrib/ to do it but I may be wrong | 08:28:50 |
niko ⚡️ | More controversial suggestions from myself - I started to wonder whether we could use something like libkrun for sandboxing purposes, and get to control the impurities to greater degree. I started thinking about this because we can get impurities when some piece of software decides how to build itself at build time by doing feature detection in some quirky way, recently that surfaced with unicorn which on macOS at build time decided whether to compile in some functions or not and that was resulting in unicorn throwing a bus error at runtime, but only sometimes, depending on the machine it was compiled on. Not a fun time to debug. And using a hypervisor here helps by trapping such registers and always returning the same value. I’m not sure how realistic it is to use hypervisor tech for macOS sandboxing though so maybe just discard what I wrote (Obviously the root cause is a skill issue in unicorn but still) | 16:47:58 |

Winter | Redacted or Malformed Event | 07:53:54 |
Winter | and aarch64-darwin buildkite agent seems to be having a Time | 07:54:12 |
Winter | * gerrit is no longer down | 07:58:17 |
raitobezarius | Yeah still didn't have time to prod it unfortunately | 08:01:49 |
K900 | I don't have access to the darwins I don't think :( | 08:02:56 |
K900 | Not that I'd know what to do even if I did | 08:05:40 |
