@kdebacon:kde.orgkdebaconade K900: any idea on getting maliit working properly? after updating the system maliit now works. But after you pull it down, you can't pull it back up again 08:41:41
@kdebacon:kde.orgkdebaconadeonly killing maliit works08:41:50

@mjm:midna.devmjmyay! Pretty uneventful beta tbh14:30:30
@eliasp:kde.orgeliasp

anyone can reproduce this bug?

  • create a file named file-Àâü.odt somewhere
  • try to open it by double-clicking on it in Dolphin
  • LibreOffice will report: /path/to/file-???.odt does not exist.`

Creating something like file-Àâü.txt and opening it in Kate/Kwrite via double-click in Dolphin works just fine.

I'm not really sure right now, whether that's somehow a KDE/Plasma or LibreOffice issue, since I can't reproduce it at all via command-line (e.g. xdg-open … or just libreoffice /path/to/file-Àâü.odt).

21:47:13
@k900:0upti.meK900Can't repro21:54:44
@eliasp:kde.orgeliasp thanks 22:40:00
@k900:0upti.meK900 It might be a libreoffice update that just landed on -small though 22:40:27
@eliasp:kde.orgeliasp I've seen the issue for quite some time, but only started digging now... 22:40:58
@k900:0upti.meK900What I'm saying is I might have a newer libreoffice22:42:10
@eliasp:kde.orgeliasp ah, this way... will give -small a try 22:42:41
12 Feb 2025
@eliasp:kde.orgeliasp still the same with -small… will have to investigate further later today 09:51:51

@k900:0upti.meK900The lack of .UTF-8 on LANG is very suspicious actually02:51:06
@k900:0upti.meK900You're probably running an ASCII locale02:51:10
