@k900:0upti.meK900It's basically linking the wrong thing08:22:41
@k900:0upti.meK900It's linking the intermediate artifact instead of the final install path08:22:52
@raboof:matrix.orgraboofhmm I thought the thing that needed an extra link would be ToolButton which appears in /nix/store/3i67c3macvbqdvsq86ckhxks0k9lz621-libplasma-6.5.3/lib/qt-6/qml/org/kde/plasma/extras/libplasmaextracomponentsplugin.so and /nix/store/3i67c3macvbqdvsq86ckhxks0k9lz621-libplasma-6.5.3/lib/qt-6/qml/org/kde/plasma/components/liborg_kde_plasmacomponents3.so - but I might very well be misunderstanding08:27:22
@k900:0upti.meK900I might be making things up08:27:55

@raboof:matrix.orgraboofhttps://github.com/NixOS/nixpkgs/pull/470994 seems to do the trick... any recommendations how to test it better this time? I checked there's no dangling RPATH entries at least :)10:48:38
@k900:0upti.meK900Boot it?10:51:12
@raboof:matrix.orgrabooftook me way too long to remember I need "-vga qxl" to make wayland work inside qemu, but yeah seems to work fine.14:15:45

@shapr:cofree.coffeeshapr Is there something like extraConfig for plasma6 ? I want to try adding this environment variable but I don't see a nixOS way to do such a thing. What am I missing? 21:07:57

@sigmasquadron:matrix.orgSigmaSquadronfor that specific service, you can also override the systemd unit, assuming it has the same name in the nixos module or upstream.12:41:29

@palasso:matrix.orgVassilis PalassopoulosHey, if you think I am spamming too much with KDE Ni! OS just let me know.10:51:28
@k900:0upti.meK900To be honest, I am slightly worried about people trying to turn their personal NixOS config into a Product10:53:23
@k900:0upti.meK900Without really communicating to upstream10:53:28
@palasso:matrix.orgVassilis PalassopoulosYeah I noticed your comment on the first blog post. I hope there is some collaboration between upstream and Ni! OS. Immutable distros are all the rage nowadays and NixOS already has all those features and more. In my eyes Ni! OS showcases to its audience (people who are probably aware of immutable distros but not NixOS) how NixOS is already where immutable distros have been trying to go. This reminds me of SnowflakeOS, basically hiding the nix language to the user, and giving them a reliable system with comparable user experience (with graphical tools) to what they were used to.11:08:13
@k900:0upti.meK900Except it kinda doesn't do any of that11:10:05
@k900:0upti.meK900It's literally just the guy's personal NixOS config11:10:17
@k900:0upti.meK900Sorry if I sound grumpy11:10:26
@palasso:matrix.orgVassilis PalassopoulosI assume that's the end goal and he's just starting out.11:10:55

I want don't want this manual step. What's the option for this in nixos🥹m
