@k900:0upti.meK900Set your wallet password to match your user password14:12:03
@k900:0upti.meK900And then it should auto-unlock14:12:10
@vivekanandan_ks:matrix.orgvivekanandan_ksIt's the same password but still not working14:13:10
@k900:0upti.meK900Are you using autologin?14:13:18
@vivekanandan_ks:matrix.orgvivekanandan_ksYes14:13:33
@k900:0upti.meK900Then it won't work14:13:39
@k900:0upti.meK900You can set your wallet password to empty string14:13:44
@k900:0upti.meK900Then it'll store your secrets in plain text14:13:50
@vivekanandan_ks:matrix.orgvivekanandan_ks It's a safety mechanism? 14:14:01
@k900:0upti.meK900No, it just doesn't know your password14:14:08
@k900:0upti.meK900When autologin is used14:14:13
@k900:0upti.meK900If you log in with password, the password you used to log in is passed to kwallet for unlocking14:14:39
@k900:0upti.meK900But if you autologin, there is no known password14:14:45
@vivekanandan_ks:matrix.orgvivekanandan_ks Then it won't ask the popup and connect to network automatically? 14:14:53
@k900:0upti.meK900Yes14:15:21
@k900:0upti.meK900But your passwords will be on disk in plain text14:15:21
@vivekanandan_ks:matrix.orgvivekanandan_ks Makes sense
So one has to enter the password to access network.
14:15:24
@vivekanandan_ks:matrix.orgvivekanandan_ks What security risks are there? When using it in personal system? 14:15:55
@k900:0upti.meK900Things can read your passwords from disk, I guess14:16:09
@vivekanandan_ks:matrix.orgvivekanandan_ksA malicious attack will do that I guess, via bad scripts14:17:04
@vivekanandan_ks:matrix.orgvivekanandan_ksI'll try this maybe14:17:41
@aloisw:julia0815.dealoisw If you have malware on your computer it might as well install a keylogger. 14:20:24
@gladtherescake:matrix.gladtherescake.euLillian Violet (She/Fae) left the room.14:31:25
@winter:catgirl.cloudWinter joined the room.15:25:02
@palasso:matrix.orgVassilis PalassopoulosAlthough things can read from unlocked KWallet (typical use-case with using same password with login) via D-Bus I presume anyways.16:44:26
@mr-qubo:matrix.orgmr-quboDoes anyone has a patch to bring back input-synaptics support on plasma 6?17:33:18
@k900:0upti.meK900What does that even mean17:35:48
