| I'm wondering, anyone here knows how do export/takeout a public google group's all emails? specificially https://groups.google.com/g/nix-devel/about?noredirect optional reading I'm trying to create an archive of all public nixos discussion history before people realise its gone. Got the cs.uu.nl email dump (gmane.linux.distributions.nixos downloaded fully in my thunderbird newsgroups) from gmane.io then for a bit the above google group was used. I found https://logs.nix.samueldr.com for irc logs which I realise are gone now because freenode is dead, and not all messages would've been logged by someone, and after that I am assuming matrix logs should bring us uptodate? for the google groups one, there used to be ajax api support which was removed, usenet/newsgroups support which they killed, as well as rss feed support which was signature killed by google. I am assuming google takeout by one of the owners is the easiest possible option here? | 17:28:17 | |

| I somehow have a nix-dev archive, or at least did at some point | 17:31:43 | |
| Oh but it's the cs.uu.nl one | 17:44:01 | |
| that's fine, I would still like to have it. because idk if the thunderbird export is something custom or standard like the mbox format | 17:45:05 | |
| I suspect I just ran msuck or something against gmane anyway | 17:46:38 | |
