| kenji changed their display name from a-kenji to kenji. | 10:40:31 |
Winter | i mean… since you can switch the existing account’s nixos.org without hassle, and nixos.org is the official project domain… :P | 12:25:55 |
leona | Hey, could someone explain to me how release logos work with the new branding git repo? | 12:29:10 |
leona | i.e. what do we as release management need to do and say to people who want to create the artwork | 12:29:59 |
avocadoom | @djacu:matrix.org | 12:57:35 |
djacu | In reply to @leona:leona.is Hey, could someone explain to me how release logos work with the new branding git repo? Sorry. Been meaning to follow up with you and jopejoe1. I'll DM you later today | 16:42:04 |
leona | thank you! | 16:42:23 |
Florian | I‘m not really familiar with Bluesky TBH, I‘m just posting there through Buffer.
Sorry for being a little slow, what exactly is it that you want to switch here? | 18:53:14 |
Winter | Bluesky handles are domains -- instead of nixos_org.bsky.social, we can use nixos.org | 18:57:07 |
Florian | Ah, now it makes sense. 💡
That would indeed be nice. 👍 | 18:59:06 |
Tristan Ross | For Nix Vegas, we used Buffer and it connected to Bluesky pretty well. The Android app is buggier to post through, Bluesky posts would just fail but it's more reliable on the website. | 20:26:27 |

isabel | they fixed it a few months ago too. so that when you go to a custom domain they let you keep the bsky.social one where before they would have dropped the domain | 08:15:03 |

@wolfgangwalther:matrix.org | Not exactly sure who can merge to the website's repo and can help me with https://github.com/NixOS/nixos-homepage/pull/1854 - already pinged a few handles, but just wanted to mention it here as well, in case somebody else feels responsible :) | 14:23:53 |
Winter | I think I’m actually allowed to merge this, but let me read over it first (and give thilo the final say, just because we’re not in a rush ;)) | 14:26:05 |
Winter | ok it’s just the stuff i’ve already read like ten times, boring | 14:27:55 |
avocadoom | It would be nice to always wait for at least one member of the marketing team to review even if one has merge access :) | 14:29:49 |
Winter | i am! :) | 14:30:18 |
avocadoom | Wolfgang Walther in case of doubt the team page of the marketing team tells you the responsibilities | 14:30:19 |
@wolfgangwalther:matrix.org | ha, of course. :D | 14:31:36 |
@wolfgangwalther:matrix.org | I could have come to that conclusion myself I guess :D | 14:31:56 |
avocadoom | I have just one gripe, there are now two teams with prefix 02_ which is kind of killing the intention these numbers have | 14:37:33 |
avocadoom | It would be great if we can find a solution for that. And I a am also not sure if this has to go in front of steering commitee | 14:38:35 |
@wolfgangwalther:matrix.org | Yes, I was about renumber all of them.. then realized we have to with 15 already. | 14:38:44 |
@wolfgangwalther:matrix.org | Uhm, it is not in front of SC. | 14:38:57 |
@wolfgangwalther:matrix.org | * Yes, I was about to renumber all of them.. then realized we have two with 15 already. | 14:39:21 |
@wolfgangwalther:matrix.org | If you mean RFCSC, the idea was that nixpkgs-core is essentially a team that governs other teams (and many of them!), so in a way a "meta team", if you know what I mean? (I had a really hard time finding a spot... that was what I came up with) | 14:40:22 |
avocadoom | I just extended all team sorting numbers by one digit | 14:49:49 |
avocadoom | Ill wait for the CI to finish and if everything goes smoothly I'll merge :) | 14:50:07 |
